According to police, last week 36-year-old Heidi Knowles at Taco Bell with her three day old son. Knowles then approached a woman who was eating and handed her the child. Before the confused woman could respond, Knowles stated that the infant could be hers for the price of $500. Unsurprisingly, the woman refused and quickly called 9-1-1. Knowles was arrested soon after for outstanding warrants at Kay's TV Motel; bail was set for $50,000 and she was charged with "attempted child selling/child buying." Kansas City - A man suspected of drunken driving stole an ambulance late last night after he was taken to a hospital for a blood test. The man stole the ambulance about 10:55 p.m. from Research Medical Center, near Prospect Avenue and East Meyer Boulevard. Police pursued the ambulance and eventually used stop sticks, which caused the suspect to crash into a light pole at East 67th Terrace and Cleveland Avenue. The man was taken into custody.

A drunk German sparked a slow-speed police chase after stealing a tractor to get home from a nightclub after his girlfriend left without him, said police, who used pepper spray to try to stop the vehicle. HIALEAH, Fla. — Authorities say South Florida law enforcement officers are searching for an unmarked police car loaded with weapons and riot gear that was stolen from outside a Hialeah restaurant. A Hialeah police spokesman says the 2000 gold Ford Taurus was stolen early Friday morning while an off-duty officer was working security at the restaurant. The vehicle contained an assault rifle, a Glock, riot gear, a bulletproof vest, police identification and probably an emergency light.

CLINTON, Maine – Police said a 500-pound moose fell 18 feet to its death when it apparently leaped a guardrail on an Interstate 95 overpass and landed on Hinckley Road.
