A sheriff's deputy in Colorado was shot and killed while trying to serve an eviction notice to a 58-year-old man who was believed to have been an active and vocal member of the Occupy Denver movement. According to the groups website, this was done after Denver Mayor Michael Hancock insisted that Occupy Denver choose leadership to deal with City and State officials. Reports of graffiti and vandalism against police buildings included a broken window at a recruitment center.
