George Zimmerman was found not guilty Saturday of the second-degree murder of Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fla., — and many are not happy about it. Protests are taking place in cities across the U.S., and one of the larger protests is happening in New York City's Times Square. The Oakland City Council has agreed to pay more than $1 million to settle a lawsuit filed by a dozen Occupy Oakland protesters who said they were the victims of excessive force during clashes with police in 2011. **SNIP** Plaintiffs Suzi Spangenberg and Sukay Sow say they were injured by flash-bang grenades thrown by officers. The fire was reported just before 1 a.m. Thursday at "Church on the Esplanade" at 1119 Esplanade near West 1st Avenue. It damaged the fellowship hall, a separate building next to the church.
