Organizers for an art festival are seeking $90,000 to erect a 45-foot-tall sculpture of a naked woman on the National Mall as way to combat the objectification of female bodies. WTOP reports the Catharsis on the Mall organizers are trying to raise money to move the sculpture, known as R-Evolution, from San Francisco to Washington D.C. so it can be placed on the National Mall facing the White House, for all festival-goers and tourists to see. The fundraising page for the move, which has received almost $20,000 in three days (albeit only 22 percent of its goal), claims the R-Evolution sculpture can...

[Obamacare ad] shows a 20-something woman named “Susie” holding a packet of birth control pills with an open-mouth, wide smile. She is wearing a flesh-colored, low-cut, sleeveless top, tight skinny jeans and open-toed black heels. Susie is leaning against “Nate,” who is wearing an untucked shirt with the top four buttons undone to show his hairy chest. He has a smirk on his face and one hand in the pocket of his jeans. “OMG, he’s hot!,” Susie is shown saying. “Let’s hope he’s as easy to get as this birth control. My health insurance covers the pill, which means all...

From the Its All a Matter of Perspective Department Exhibit I: Ohio State Cheerleader Tara Zinslen on kicking a 20 yard field goal at halftime during the National Championship game last Friday night:It brought at least a moment of respect for both [women and cheerleaders]... We (the women) had a lot of pressure on us, especially being cheerleaders and girls," Zinslen said. "But that kick kind of sealed it: We are athletes, too Exhibit II: ESPN.com's Brian Murphy:Did any of you see the halftime promotion at the Fiesta Bowl? It featured cheerleaders from Miami and Ohio State, trying to kick...
