In an exclusive interview, Chuck Hagel said the Obama administration micromanaged the Pentagon, stabbed him in the back on the way out -- and still has no strategy for fixing Syria. Jet-lagged from a long overseas trip, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel had just sat down with his wife for a quiet dinner at an upscale Italian restaurant in northern Virginia when his phone rang. It was the White House on the line. President Barack Obama wanted to speak with him. It was Aug. 30, 2013, and the U.S. military was poised for war. Obama had publicly warned Syrian strongman...

The other evening in New York when Secretary of State John Kerry came to talk about President Barack Obama's foreign policy, everyone thought he had come to praise it. An hour and 6000 words later, it was clear that he had come to bury it. The expected encomium became an unintended obituary. Kerry started by building an edifice of excuses for what he knew, and didn't want to admit, was failure on a grand scale. To heighten his profile, Kerry told the audience that he had just had lunch with Henry Kissinger who had admitted that the world was more...

John Kerry just offered up such a load of horse manure that he outdid even the most outrageous of dhimmi fools (and there are a lot to choose from). Writing for Front Page Magazine, Daniel Greenfield reports on a tweet Kerry sent out on Thursday that read: "The Middle East today is the home of populations that are energetic, youthful, forward-looking. It is in them that we place our faith." Seriously? Yes, the secretary of state – a professional fool – is serious. But Kerry wasn’t finished. He had more to say. And he said it (again, pathetically, using Twitter):...

About midnight, on October 21st, a man wielding a knife lunged at a border patrol officer. The assailant was shot four times. Did you hear about this incident? Probably not. That’s because the incident took place took place not somewhere in Israel, where all incidents of this type are recorded and broadcast around the world, but at the border crossing in Calexico, California, just across the border from Mexicali, Mexico. The reason the man was shot by a Border & Patrol Protection officer and, subsequently, died from his wounds, should be obvious. People wielding knives and lunging at police—or anyone...

RUSH: I want to start with Obama and Afghanistan. Remember the Democrats told us at their debate the other night, and Obama has pounded this home every chance he gets, that the number one threat facing the world is climate change. Now, all of a sudden, the president has decided that we're not gonna get out of Afghanistan. After announcing that Bush's war in Afghanistan is over, now Obama has decided to keep people there. And, my friends, I'm wondering what is really going on here. There's something that we're not being told. There's either some internal polling data the...

From reset to the Iran deal, Obama’s mistakes are so comprehensive they almost look deliberate. How did Vladimir Putin — with his country reeling from falling oil prices, possessing only a second-rate military, in demographic free-fall, and suffering from an array of international sanctions — find himself the new play-maker of the Middle East? Putin’s ascendency was not foreordained. It followed a series of major U.S. miscalculations and blunders of such magnitude that it almost seems they must have been deliberate. What exactly was our road to perdition in the Middle East?1. Reset with Putin When Barack Obama came into...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama on Wednesday informed Congress he is sending about 300 U.S. military personnel to Cameroon, the White House said, part of a stepped-up effort by Washington to counter the violent group Boko Haram. An advance force of U.S. military personnel has arrived in Cameroon, an administration official said on condition of anonymity.

Obama giving Foreign Policy Presser..... just for discussion about

. What are the roots of Barack Obama’s foreign policy? Some focus on the man and his flaws of character, particularly his inability to learn from his mistakes and to adjust his ideas to changing facts on the ground. Others see more sinister motives, an animus against the United States that drives policies diminishing America’s power and influence. Old bad ideas like one-world internationalism and the power of diplomacy to resolve conflicts have played a major role. And of course, domestic political considerations enter into his foreign policy calculations. Whatever the origins, the end result of Obama’s foreign policy has...

RUSH: As I mentioned earlier and as you may have heard, 19 people were injured, three killed, three children, when a hospital in Afghanistan was bombed, and it apparently was one of ours. I mean, we did it. And I mentioned that if this had happened when George W. Bush was president, that's all you'd be hearing about right now. You'd be hearing what a horrible, reprehensible country we have and military we have, and how the mission is unjust and the mission is unnecessary. This is a classic example. "This is not who we are," Obama would say and...

Obama's Foreign Policy of Fantasies "Anti-Immigrant bigotry" and lack of jobs are causing the rise of ISIS? October 1, 2015 Joseph Klein President Barack Obama continued his feckless foreign policy charade at the United Nations on September 29th before returning to Washington. He chaired what was billed as “The Leaders’ Summit on Countering ISIL and Violent Extremism,” and he met with Cuban President Raul Castro. At the summit, Obama claimed major progress in rolling back the Islamic State (or ISIL, as he refers to the jihadist caliphate occupying large portions of Syria and Iraq). By now, the president...

Quinn said that they brought the police commander to their camp, where he confessed to the assault. When the man shrugged his shoulders and laughed in their faces, they threw him to the ground. Quinn explained that it wasn't meant to be revenge, but to send the message to the man and to the other local policemen that sexual assaults would not be tolerated.

The Obama administration's policy toward Syria and its more than four-year civil war is rapidly becoming a black mark on the president's legacy. And a scathing new report by Peter Baker of The New York Times details the mind-boggling decision by the White House to refuse to accept any responsibility. The blame for the failed US effort to train Syrian rebels to fight ISIS "should be pointed not at Mr. Obama but at those who pressed him to attempt training Syrian rebels in the first place," administration officials told Baker. There are only "four or five" US-trained rebels left fighting...

Military prosecutors have reached into a section of military law seldom used since World War II in the politically fraught case against Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, the soldier held prisoner for years by the Taliban after leaving his post in Afghanistan. Observers wondered for months if Bergdahl would be charged with desertion after the deal brokered by the U.S. to bring him home. He was — but he was also charged with misbehavior before the enemy, a much rarer offense that carries a stiffer potential penalty in this case.

The presidential administration that vowed to be the most transparent since the baptism of Nkuwu Nzinga has once again demonstrated that such vows mean nothing to it. In addition to the secretive manner in which Secretary of State John Kerry conducted negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran over its nuclear program — in itself secretive — there was also the matter of secret “side deals” between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency. And now, additional side deals, this time between President Barack Obama and the leaders of foreign governments, have also come to light. Republican Sens. Marco Rubio...

The Obama administration recently made changes to the Oath of Allegiance to the United States in a manner very conducive to Sharia, or Islamic law. On July 21, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced some “modifications” to the Oath of Allegiance which immigrants must take before becoming naturalized. The original oath required incoming citizens to declare that they will “bear arms on behalf of the United States” and “perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States” when required by the law. Now the USCIS says that “A candidate [to U.S. citizenship] may be eligible to...

Summary: Like his support for the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood terrorists across the region, the facts of the Iran deal with Shiite terror regime in Tehran point to a deliberate plan of allying the United States with the worst of Islamic terrorists. Obama’s nuclear “deal” with Iran has been compared to British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain’s appeasement of Hitler. For those less familiar with the history of the Second World War, Chamberlain’s Munich deal was a betrayal of Czechoslovakia. Students of World War II know, however, that Chamberlain ultimately led the early British war effort against the Nazis. Chamberlain may have...

Last Tuesday, a 159-page PDF of President Barack Obama’s Iran nuclear deal was leaked online. Paragraph 36 was the most shocking of the agreement — a part the president would probably prefer hadn’t become public, as it demonstrated just how much of a joke the pact actually was. According to the deal’s 36th paragraph, any party — Iran or any future U.S. president — can essentially end the Iran nuclear deal with 35 days notice. Iran can claim that any one of the P5+1 nations is “not meeting its commitments” under the deal. That will then set off a 35-day

A report issued Thursday by the Department of State repeatedly refers to sex reassignment surgery in Iran as “gender-confirmation surgery.” Iran has a well-documented record of coercing gay and lesbian people into having the gender reassignment surgery, that is, disrupting rather than “confirming” the gender identity of hundreds per year. Since homosexuality can be punishable by death in Iran, known homosexual men tend to accept the government-subsidized surgery to become women, and vice versa. By referring to the surgeries as “gender confirmation,” rather than the much more widespread and morally neutral “sex reassignment surgery,” the State Department seems to be...

The Taliban have carried out a co-ordinated attack on the Afghan parliament in the capital, Kabul, where heavy fighting is still going on. Attackers detonated a huge car bomb outside the building, before racing into parliament itself, reports say. Police are evacuating the premises, while trying to fight off the attackers.
