New York residents are less hesitant to vote for a Muslim or Mormon presidential candidate than either an atheist or a born-again Christian, according to a new poll. The survey, conducted by Quinnipiac University, found that 30 percent of voters said they are less likely to vote for an atheist, while 27 percent said they would be less likely to vote for a born-again Christian. On the other hand, 24 percent are less likely to vote for a Mormon, while 19 percent are less likely to vote for a Muslim.

Vice President Joe Biden told a racially mixed audience Wednesday that if Republicans take back the White House, “They’re going to put y’all back in chains.” It’s hard to say what is more offensive: Mr. Biden’s overt use of inflammatory racial symbolism, or someone from Delaware saying “y’all.”

After the election of Barack Obama in 2008, Rush Limbaugh took to the airwaves in January 2009 to announce his hope for the failure of Barack Obama's policies. David Corn has a report out this morning that pushes the continuing attacks on Mitt Romney's tenure at Bain Capital forward not just because of the business it involves — disposing of aborted fetuses — but because it extends the length of time he worked at Bain.
