A Democratic mayor in Florida was arrested and charged with three counts of voter fraud, punishable by up to five years in prison. Anthony DeFillipo, mayor of North Miami Beach, was charged with three third-degrees felonies for allegedly voting illegally in three elections. He's the third mayor of that city to be arrested in 11 years. DeFillipo didn't even live in his city, violating the city charter, but he drove to North Miami Beach to vote three times, in August, October, and November, according to the Miami Herald. A North Miami Beach condominium building was being evacuated Monday after it was deemed to be structurally unsafe, city officials said. The owners of Bayview 60 Homes at 3800 Northeast 168th Street requested the city order an immediate evacuation of residents from the five-story building, the city said in a statement. Footage showed residents leaving the building with suitcases and a police command center on the street outside the building.

According to North Miami Beach Police Department, Crestview Towers condominiums in North Miami Beach is being evacuated due to structural and electrical conditions. The evacuation comes just a week after the Surfside condo collapse and as South Florida municipalities continue to push for more routine reviews of high-rise condominium complexes.

The anonymous post invited criminals to pay a visit to two outspoken city activists. The statements under investigation were submitted to gadfly Stephanie Kienzle’s blog votersopinion.com and was traced back to a city-issued police department computer, North Miami Beach Major Kathy Katerman confirmed.
