VIDEOLiberals love espousing diversity. However, for diversity that really counts, namely diversity of opinion, the mainstream media has shut that down. An example is the CNN panel discussing the primary victory of President Donald Trump in South Carolina. NOT ONE had a friendly word for Trump. Instead that panel, including "conservatives," presented a sold wall of TDS hate as you can see from some of the excerpts presented here. Any real conservatives who did support Trump on CNN, such as Jeffrey Lord, were removed by that network years ago.

He may not be on the Democratic ballot, but the 2020 presidential candidate wielding the most influence over the party's remarkably unsettled primary fight is President Donald Trump. As the race for the next occupant of the White House enters the final weeks of 2019, awash in a surprising degree of uncertainty, Democratic voters have Trump on their minds as much as the crowded field of contenders jockeying for the right to challenge him. From a distance, Trump is hanging over every aspect of the Democratic contest.

President Barack Obama often speaks about how the nation’s institutions need to look more like America--but his campaign is having trouble living up to his standards. Photos of Obama’s young campaign staffers at his campaign headquarters, though, which the campaign released and can be seen here and here, show a stunning lack of diversity within his own campaign, making Obama seem more like a president whose lofty rhetoric does not match his deeds. Obama has made a point of calling on federal agencies and even the nation’s schools to be more diverse. In 2011, Obama signed an Executive Order to...

And the winner is: Finland! According to Newsweek magazine, that is the best country on the face of the earth. Who knew? The United States is the 11th best place to live, just behind Denmark, which, of course, is close to the promised land of Finland. A few years ago, I visited Helsinki, Finland's small capital city. There were saunas everywhere, and that's a good thing when you are that close to the Arctic Circle. In fact, unless you're a polar bear, going outside in the winter can be breathtaking. Literally. Nevertheless, the five million-plus Finns are relatively fine. Eighty...

CHAPEL HILL In 1963, state legislators silenced a communist's speech on campus. Forty-six years later, protesting students silenced a conservative ex-congressman because of his views on immigration. The result is the same: a black mark on UNC Chapel Hill's reputation for academic freedom. On Wednesday, UNC Chancellor Holden Thorp and UNC System President Erskine Bowles both telephoned former Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., to apologize after student protesters shouted him down as he tried to give a speech. Students smashed a window a few feet from where he stood and blocked his face with a banner that said, “No One Is...

"When he started talking about innate differences in aptitude between men and women, I just couldn't breathe." - Nancy Hopkins (MIT biology professor) "We live in strange, strange times . . . An entire era - call it the "New Deal-Great Society Epoch" - is drawing to its inevitable conclusion. And those who draw power and wealth from the decaying Welfare State are marshalling their forces for a life-and-death defensive struggle." - Rush Limbaugh Strange indeed! The Society of Professional Journalists, at their recent convention, took a vote on the proposition "Journalists should cover both sides of an issue" and...
