A new poll shows that the favorability rating of the NFL among Donald Trump supporters was nearly cut in half after more than 200 players kneeled during the national anthem last week. Morning Consult conducted the survey, and the results are a very bad sign for the NFL. They released the following data in a press release to The Daily Caller: NFL’s Brand Favorability Drops To Lowest Point Since Morning Consult Started Tracking: The NFL’s net favorability has dropped from 30% on September 21 to 17% on September 28. On September 21, 25% of Trump supporters said they had a...

A new poll has found that more than half of Louisiana voters surveyed think some form of punishment should befall NFL players who protest during the national anthem. Of the 525 registered voters surveyed in a poll sponsored by the University of New Orleans, 30.2 percent said players should be fired, while an additional 26.6 percent said they should be fined. The remaining 43.2 percent answered that neither of those things should happen. The sentiment comes following a week of leaguewide protests that saw one or more players on 18 different teams kneel during the anthem. The protests have been...

Poll found an overwhelming 82 percent of respondents feel there is too much politics in sporting events A poll was taken on Monday, the day after the numerous protests by NFL players during the Sunday games. The survey of Western New Yorkers was conducted by the Buffalo-based Big Daddy Strategies in conjunction with Remington Research Group. As the poll was conducted only in Western New York, the questions and answers pertained to the Buffalo Bills. A total of 1,390 adults who are likely to vote in general elections were polled. Of these 1,390 people, 71 percent of respondents disagreed with...
  • Shocker: Another Poll Shows Americans Aren't Big Fans of Anthem Protests

One of the most striking elements of the NFL anthem protest controversy is the glaring disconnect between average Americans -- especially sports fans -- and the media covering the story. Airwaves and column inches are disproportionately crowded with pro-protest (and anti-Trump) perspectives, whereas most non-elite observers come down on the other side of the issue. It's reminiscent of the 2016 election dynamic, in which the overwhelming majority of the media was horrified by Donald Trump and convinced he had virtually no chance of winning. They were unable or unwilling to understand the range of sentiments and motivations that inspired tens...

Nearly two-thirds of Americans say NFL players should stand and be respectful during the playing of the national anthem, according to a survey released on Monday. A survey by Remington Research Group found that 64 percent of voters agree with President Trump and want players to stand for the anthem. The survey also found that 80 percent of voters want less politics in sports, while 51 percent say they are watching less football than in previous years. Among those watching less football, 69 percent pointed to “Players using the NFL as a stage for their political views” as the primary...
