Primetime ratings for the opening weekend of the 2016 NFL season were not kind. Not only were they down across almost the entire board, Monday Night Football‘s numbers showed signs that last season’s slide might be continuing. San Francisco's Colin Kaepernick says the fatal shooting of an unarmed black man in Tulsa is "the perfect example" of what he's protesting when he refuses to stand for the national anthem at 49ers' games.
