Dion Jordan's 2015 season is over before it started, and his tumultuous time with the Miami Dolphins may be finished as well. The Dolphins and the NFL announced Tuesday that Jordan has been suspended for the 2015 season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.

Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez said he wasn't concerned that the team signed Tim Tebow, because the Eagles told him Tebow was just there to throw in camp. "We needed another guy to throw while Sam's (Bradford) still recovering. So that's the reason (for the signing), at least as explained to me," Sanchez said, per CSN Philadelphia. But, you might hear a round of cheers to excite the crowds at this week’s Arts, Entertainment, Sports, Tourism & Internet Media Committee. On Tuesday, the committee is scheduled to consider a proposal by Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez, D-San Diego, that would provide greater labor protections for professional cheerleaders. Assembly Bill 202, which scored a 5-2 win in the Assembly Committee on Labor and Employment earlier this month, would protect cheerleaders of professional sports teams from workplace abuses by classifying them as employees, not independent contractors.

San Francisco 49ers Hall of Fame offensive tackle Bob St. Clair died Monday night following a brief illness, the Pro Football Hall of Fame told NFL Media. He was 84 years old. Former Chicago Bear Doug Buffone, the all-time leader in games played for the organization, has died in his Chicago home at the age of 70, police said. The Eagles have reached an agreement in principle with quarterback Tim Tebow, according to multiple media reports Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, who first reported the news, said that Tebow will be in Philadelphia Monday to sign the contract.
