Charlotte’s revulsion over Huma Abedin’s calculated “stand by your man” routine is surely right. Still, it is amazing, as we speculate about Ms. Abedin’s political future, that the elephant in the room goes unnoticed, or at least studiously unmentioned. Sorry to interrupt the Best Enabler of a Sociopath Award ceremony but, to recap, Ms. Abedin worked for many years at a journal that promotes Islamic-supremacist ideology that was founded by a top al-Qaeda financier, Abdullah Omar Naseef. Naseef ran the Rabita Trust, a formally designated foreign terrorist organization under American law. Ms. Abedin and Naseef overlapped at the Journal of...

Even a man who repeatedly cheated on his wife with high-priced hookers thinks Anthony Weiner is a bad husband. As he campaigns for city controller, former Gov. Eliot Spitzer has been shaking hands at subway stops and visiting churches without his wife, Silda Wall, anywhere in sight. But Spitzer and his team claim her absence is only because the former Love Gov is interested in protecting her. “Regarding (Silda’s) appearances on the campaign trail, no husband would ask his wife and family to step into the media frenzy surrounding the campaign at this time,” Spitzer spokeswoman Lisa Linden said.

"Scott will fight hard for middle class families and has the temperament and judgment to be extraordinarily successful," Gillibrand said in a statement. Gillibrand called Stringer the "best choice" for the job. "His experience as a trustee of the New York City Employee Retirement System, where he has helped to grow the city's pension funds and advance important shareholder initiatives around corporate governance, environmental stability and workplace safety positions him to be a great comptroller." Stringer was reportedly seen as the frontrunner in the race for comptroller until Spitzer jumped in. Polls now show Spitzer leading.Spitzer is attempting to revive...

New York City’s streets are safer, thanks to stop-and-frisk policing and Kelly’s leadership. By Rich Lowry President Barack Obama shouldn’t nominate Ray Kelly to be secretary of Homeland Security. He should invite him to consider the error of his ways. At least that’s the logic of the president’s remarks on the George Zimmerman case. The president has had kind words for Kelly, but the president’s supporters point out the contradiction: In his meditation on the Zimmerman verdict, Obama dwelt on the evils of stereotyping, and Commissioner Kelly stands accused of policing an entire city on the basis of just that.

The man who broke the most recent Anthony Weiner sexting scandal said that the embattled New York politician presented his marriage to young women as a sham and even planned to purchase a “secret bunker” in Chicago that could house real-life trysts. “They talked to each other daily on the phone. They told each other they loved each other,” Nik Richie, the founder of the gossip website TheDirty.com, said Wednesday. Weiner’s sexting partner, who began her virtual relationship with Weiner at age 22, felt that the marriage between Weiner and his wife Huma, a former Hillary Clinton aide, was “more...

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi delivered a rhetorical body-slam Thursday morning to New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner and San Diego Mayor Bob Filner, calling their lewd conduct 'reprehensible.' But she stopped short of calling for either of her fellow Democrats to withdraw from their high-stakes and high-profile political lives. 'Let me be very clear,' Pelosi told reporters. 'The conduct of some of these people that we are talking about here is reprehensible. It is so disrespectful of women.' 'What's really stunning about it is that they don't even realize it. They don't even have a clue! If they...

If you don’t know what New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner is, you might just think Spirit Airlines’ new promo has something to do with a mysterious hot dog that is coming back from wherever it is texting hot dogs go. “The Weiner Rises Again!” trumpets Spirit in its new promo, featuring a masked frank holding a cell phone. See, because it’s the second time that Weiner has admitted to sending saucy messages to women. And this go-around, he took on the personality of one “Carlos Danger.”Weiner stepped down from Congress in 2011 in the aftermath of sending photos...

New York City is making headlines—and angering many—for becoming the nation’s first municipality to spend millions of taxpayer dollars to help illegal immigrants get jobs and learn English. How generous of the Big Apple! Under the plan the city will become the first in the U.S. to invest $18 million in a special program aimed at helping illegal aliens find work and get driver’s licenses. City officials have named it the immigration relief program and it will include adult education classes and legal services, among other benefits. It is expected to help tens of thousands of illegal immigrants living in...

. . . you guessed it, “conservative, evangelical, Tea Party Republicans.†Speaking to an Emily’s List fundraiser, Fluke said that “GOP efforts to limit the availability of birth control†were “directly responsible for Weiner’s behavior.â€â€œWhat men, and women want, above all is SAFE sex. It’s our constitutional right. So now the GOP is limiting our access to both birth control AND abortion on demand. So a poor person like me, I can’t afford to have sex, unless it’s unprotected, and if a poor person accidentally gets pregnant, it’s now almost impossible to get an abortion.â€â€œThat’s why so many men and...

The lewd behavior that New York mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner engaged in suggests he is struggling with more than bad behavior and could be dealing with a variety of issues driving his problematic sexual behavior, experts said. But doctors, clinical psychologists and sex therapists differ on the role of biology, as well as issues such as anxiety, depression and insecurity. Fred Berlin, director of the Sexual Behaviors Consultation Unit at Johns Hopkins Hospital, said many of his patients exhibit behavior similar to Weiner’s, although he and other experts cautioned that they could not speak to the former congressman’s specific situation....

I asked my Facebook and Twitter followers Tuesday how liberal media members would save disgraced New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner so he wouldn't have to drop out of the race. Andrew Sullivan certainly did his part in a Wednesday piece titled "Breaking: Man Gets Off Online" wherein he actually wrote, "In this new Internet Age someone has to be the person who makes sexting not an excludable characteristic for public office." First, Sullivan set out to explain why sending pictures of your private parts really isn't something to be frowned upon: With countless interactive hook-up sites, and ever...

Anthony Weiner has been caught sending naked pictures and dirty text messages again and has apologized profusely to his wife but RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that the woman he was most recently inappropriately behaving with says they were “in love” during their months long romance. The 23-year old woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, spoke exclusively with RadarOnline.com via Nik Richie who broke the story by publishing the pictures and racy messages. “We were in love,” she said about the relationship that started in 2012, a year after Weiner resigned from his congressional office, sought treatment, and repaired his marriage...

Amid new sexting revelations involving New York mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner, Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison offered a measured assessment Wednesday of the former congressional colleague he had previously endorsed. Ellison said New Yorkers must decide Weiner’s political fate. That’s less of a ringing endorsement than in April when Ellison told a television interviewer that he would love to see Weiner as mayor of the nation’s largest city. Ellison said at the time he believed Weiner had dealt with sordid personal issues.

It takes a fair bit of gall to accuse the media of lying about a sex scandal. It takes even more gall to then admit to the sex scandal, resign, claim you've redeemed yourself and decide to run again. And it takes the most gall to do all of those things, even as you're engaged in a continuation of that sex scandal. But when your name is Anthony Weiner, gall is your middle name. Or perhaps Danger is. Weiner resigned from Congress in June 2011, but only after claiming that Andrew Breitbart had fabricated photos of his scantily clad body....

Former New York Rep. Anthony Weiner's sexually explicit Internet exchanges with a woman after his resignation from Congress fit the same pattern as his earlier indiscretions. The details of the encounters with a 22-year old Indiana woman suggest Weiner continued his longstanding pattern of conduct as late as the summer of 2012, or longer. According to The New York Times, the Democratic candidate for mayor of New York began an online sexual relationship with a woman who initially contacted him after his resignation to express her disappointment. *snip* Richie said the woman kept screenshots of their conversations and told the...

Yeah, butt no. Apparently it’s till the same Little Tony.Weinergate II: The Weiner Continues to Wag the Dog.It doesn’t seem possible; has it already been 2 years since the last Weiner roast? My, how time flies when you are apparently having fun, fun, fun.Summer 2011, we reported: After adamantly claiming for days that he did not have sext with that woman, what’s her name, Anthony Weiner finally admitted that he did indeed sext his pecs... along with other miscellaneous anatomical assets to several women; both prior and subsequent to his marriage to Huma (who couldn’t make it to the press...

Via the Examiner, I’m going to give Hayes the benefit of the doubt and assume that he’s pandering to his audience in saying this, not that he really believes it. His reputation for being “cerebral” may be overstated but there ain’t no way no how no chance this guy’s sincerely convinced by the “logic” that because a candidate has been forgiven by his spouse for wrongdoing, the electorate should forgive too. If Huma can tolerate Weiner’s seemingly pathological need for affirmation by sexting with random women, that’s great; why a voter would tolerate it, I have no idea. At a...

At some point, the full story of Anthony Weiner and his sexual relationships and texting habits will finally be told. In the meantime, the serially evasive Mr. Weiner should take his marital troubles and personal compulsions out of the public eye, away from cameras, off the Web and out of the race for mayor of New York City. Mr. Weiner, who resigned from Congress two years ago after sending lewd messages and photos of his crotch to women he had not met, was forced to revisit the issue on Tuesday, and so were we all. A Web site called The...

He apparently "can't say" if we'll find more of them out there. The question is do we have the fortitude to deal with this nonsense again? Here's one I made from when the scandal broke.
