Even though Romney's chief rival, Rick Santorum, has suspended his campaign, states continue to hold primaries. There are five contests on April 24th with 219 delegates at stake; but even if Romney won every single delegate that day he would be far short of 1,144. I'm backing Newt and hoping for a brokered convention, where Romney's lead in the polls will mean NOTHING. The remaining candidates plead their cases to the convention, and as we've seen, Newt SLAUGHTERS everyone in a debate. And it's more than that. The Newt Gingrich campaign found itself in a state of confusion Friday night when reports surfaced that Gingrich would cancel all of his stops in North Carolina next week, fueling suggestions that Gingrich would be suspending his campaign.
