In the days and hours leading up to a hearing of the Senate’s Intelligence Committee on Wednesday, the Big Three Networks (ABC, CBC, and NBC) were giddy at the prospect of two heads of U.S. intelligence agencies fingering President Trump in a plot to shut down the Russian investigation. But after the two and a half hour long hearing, they weren’t kicking themselves for getting their hopes up, they were kicking Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats and NSA Director Michael Rogers for not giving them what they wanted. .. The anonymous claims about Trump pressuring high-ranking intelligence officials were...

NBC News was forced to issue a correction on Sunday evening after spinning its newest talent Megyn Kelly’s interview to falsely claim that Russian President Vladimir Putin “does not deny having compromising information” on President Donald Trump. To promote the debut of Kelly’s “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly” program, NBC News tweeted, “EXCLUSIVE: Putin does not deny having compromising information on President Trump in interview with @megynkelly.” CNBC, NBC’s sister station, did not send out fake news, linking to the same story after tweeting, “Russia’s Putin denies having compromising information on Trump.” Reuters also reported on the interview and tweeted,...

Megyn Kelly sits down for an exclusive interview with President Vladimir Putin, asking him about allegations that the Russians interfered in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

Russian President Vladimir Putin turned the tables on claims the Kremlin meddled in the U.S. presidential election, with a feisty Putin on Friday accusing American spies of “crude and systematic” widespread interference in Russian affairs. Putin, speaking at an economic forum in St. Petersburg moderated by NBC’s Megyn Kelly, said the probe into Russia’s alleged attempts to influence the election via collusion with President Trump’s campaign team was merely “hysteria,” Reuters reported. He even tried to calm an inquisitive Kelly by asking: “Isn’t there a pill they can give you?” He also compared the anti-Russian sentiment in the U.S. to...

[No direct transcript] F Chuck Todd was just on local Miami "news" radio promoting his FakeNews show "Meet the dePressed". He said his dog and pony show would focus on the upcoming testimony on Thursday of corrupt and failed FBI chief James "No reasonable prosecutor" Comey. F Chuck actually said he thought the nation would STOP and listen to Comey. He said it would be comparable to the Benghazi hearings with HRC *and* the Ollie North hearings about Iran-Contra. F Chuck Todd also said the environmental leftists needed to start being nicer to conservatives so that the terrible problem of...

On Friday, all three network morning shows began with anchors breathlessly declaring that President Trump’s son-in-law and White House adviser Jared Kushner was “under scrutiny†in the FBI’s Russia investigation. However, after offering the screaming salacious headlines, each broadcast quietly admitted that Kushner was not the target of the investigation nor was he accused of any wrongdoing. Opening NBC’s Today, co-host Matt Lauer hyped: “Under scrutiny, President Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, now part of the FBI’s Russia investigation.†Minutes later, fellow co-host Savannah Guthrie promised viewers there was “fresh turmoil facing the Trump administration.†Correspondent Peter Alexander further sensationalized the...

Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law and one of his senior advisers, has come under FBI scrutiny in the Russia investigation, multiple U.S. officials told NBC News. Investigators believe Kushner has significant information relevant to their inquiry, officials said. That does not mean they suspect him of a crime or intend to charge him. The FBI's scrutiny of Kushner places the bureau's sprawling counterintelligence and criminal investigation not only on the doorstep of the White House, but in the Trump family circle. The Washington Post first reported last week that a senior White House official close to Trump was a "person...

I was reading this post on American Digest, "All boredom amused:" Rhyming History, Trump, and the Media as Foreseen in Network, 1976,” and wondered how the “Money Speech” might have been written A.D. (After Donald). It might have gone something like this: "You have meddled with the primary forces of nature, Mr. MAGA, and I won't have it! Is that clear?"You think you merely stopped HILLARY CLINTON’S PRESIDENCY AND PROTECTED YOUR PRECIOUS 2ND AMENDMENT. That is not the case. YOU have taken POWER AND CONTROL AWAY FROM YOUR BETTERS, DEMOCRAT PROGRESSIVES, and now YOU must put it back! It is...

Saturday Night Live‘s new “Weekend Update” team of Michael Che and Colin Jost have had to deal with more real backlash than most fake news anchors. Jost has been criticized for a joke he did about transgendered people. Che’s been lambasted for comments he made about street harassment and racism in Boston. But yet they still soldier on, all in the name of comedy. GQ recently caught up with the co-hosts, interviewing them about the state of comedy in 2017 and what it’s like on Weekend Update in the Trump era. In regards to whether people are too sensitive these...

Many conservatives were in mourning Thursday after news broke of the death of Fox News mastermind Roger Ailes. In a statement, Media Research Center President Brent Bozell stated that “the Left would command a monopoly control of the so-called "news" media but for the Fox News Channel, and FNC would not exist but for him.†But for NBC, it was a time to tear down what he did for conservative media and politics in general. “The coroner says Ailes died from complications related to a head injury that he suffered after a fall in his home in Florida,†announced Anchor...

The liberal media are currently up in arms over President Trump’s labeling of the investigation into Russian hacking and the 2016 presidential campaign as a “witch hunt.†All three broadcast networks led their Thursday evening newscasts with Trump’s use of the phrase, with NBC’s Lester Holt describing Trump as “lashing out.â€The liberal media are currently up in arms over President Trump’s labeling of the investigation into Russian hacking and the 2016 presidential campaign as a “witch hunt.†All three broadcast networks led their Thursday evening newscasts with Trump’s use of the phrase, with NBC’s Lester Holt describing Trump as “lashing...

The major health insurance provider Aetna announced that it would be pulling out of the last two states where it still participated in ObamaCare. Yet, the morning news shows of ABC and NBC completely ignored this important news story, while CBS This Morning gave it a mere 25 seconds. This continues a longstanding network news tradition of defending the Affordable Care Act and ignoring its failures. In a study released on October 28, 2016, the MRC’s Bias by the Minute project detailed how the evening news shows on these three networks routinely ignored or barely covered ObamaCare’s failures during that...

NBC anchor who gave Clinton a pass, accused president of racism gets exclusive interview A NBC News anchor who was seen as soft on Hillary Clinton and tough on Donald Trump in the first 2016 presidential debate will now get a rare one-on-one interview with President Trump. Numerous media outlets reported on Tuesday morning that NBC News’ Lester Holt will get the on-camera sit-down with Trump this week. The Hill reported that the interview will air both on Thursday’s broadcast of “NBC Nightly News” and on Friday morning’s “Today Show.” Holt’s interview comes at a time that conservative outlets are...

All three networks on Monday excitedly promoted the anti-Donald Trump potential of the testimony of a woman the President fired. CBS This Morning predicted that former acting Attorney General Sally Yates would deliver “explosive†“bombshells†about possible connections to Russia. Reporters on NBC’s Today reassured viewers that the Democrat was totally reliable. ABC's Good Morning America included a clip of liberal Senator Dianne Feinstein to make that point. A network graphic on CBS screamed, “Bombshell Testimony? Fmr. Acting AG Yates to Testify on Flynn & Russia.†Co-host Charlie Rose opened the show by trumpeting, “Testimony on Capitol Hill today could...

Oops. The Callum Borchers of the world want “fake news” to mean only one thing: Crazy, sensationalist web sites with no journalistic credentials publish headlines like, “Obama born in Kenya, pledge loyalty to mosque there.” But fake news doesn’t always take that form. Sometimes fake news is 50 percent true, or even 90 percent true. But it’s the part they leave out, or fudge, or alter ever so slightly that not only makes it fake, but makes it so pernicious that someone reported it as fact.
