Here it is NKJV: Leviticus 19 33 And if a stranger dwells with you in your land, you shall not mistreat him. 34 The stranger who dwells among you shall be to you as [a]one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

The Immigration and Naturalization Service: “Interpretation 324.2 Reacquisition of citizenship lost by marriage.” Interpretation 324.2(a)(7): “(7) Restoration of citizenship is prospective . Restoration to citizenship under any one of the three statutes is not regarded as having erased the period of alienage that immediately preceded it. The words “shall be deemed to be a citizen of the United States to the same extent as though her marriage to said alien had taken place on or after September 22, 1922″, as they appeared in the 1936 and 1940 statutes, are prospective and restore the status of native-born or natural-born citizen as...

While sitting in service, I was jarred by a verse that we read about unleavened bread. It covered both foreign and "Native-born". Exodus 12:19 For seven days no yeast is to be found in your houses. And anyone, whether foreigner or native-born, who eats anything with yeast in it must be cut off from the community of Israel. hmm, so this whole natural born stuff isn't some uniquely American "racists" thing that our founders invented? Recognition of native or natural born is something people of other nations and people have always been concerned with. Why? Anyway, I thought it was...

Beneath Cristian Fernandez's baby-faced looks lies a misguided soul that his lawyers argue should gain him mercy as the 12-year-old's first-degree murder case navigates through Jacksonville's court system. Fernandez is charged with the March 14 beating death of his 2-year-old half-brother, David Galarriago, at the family's Southside apartment. The defense contends the charges are built alongside a dossier exposing family turmoil, sexual battery and an abusive stepfather's suicide.

What I find so amazing about the "birther bashers" (or "afterbirthers" as I call them) is that they have so little appreciation for the complexity of Obama's citizenship dilemma. They also do not appreciate the trap doors that exist at various points in his life regarding adoption and immigration between countries where he resided. Most of all, though, they don't understand the basic terms that they banter about. In short, Obama's life path is fraught with potentially disqualifying conditions for the office he holds. As a constitutional law instructor, perhaps no one understands these conditions like he does, and that...

U.S. Rep. Nathan Deal, now a Republican candidate for governor, this morning declared himself in sympathy with those questioning whether President Barack Obama was born in the U.S.A. The occasion was an online chat the congressman had with supporters this morning. And the question came from Tom Crawford of Capitol Impact. Do you believe that Barack Obama is a native-born American citizen who is eligible to serve as president? I am asking because your comments on this issue have been a little ambiguous. I would appreciate your clearing this up. At 9:17 a.m., Deal tapped out this: I am joining...

The British authorities investigating the London terrorist bombing have put forth an intriguing theory. Did the four young Muslim men know they were destined to become suicide bombers? These young men had gone to Pakistan to “study” Islam. What they got tangled up in was Islam in its purest form—murderous and radical. It doesn’t seem to take much influence from the experts in death to convince peaceful and law-abiding people to become mass murderers for Islam. But convincing the new father of an eight month old baby to die for Islam? That might take a little more time. An 18-year-old...

LITTLE ROCK (AP) U.S. Rep. Vic Snyder and Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., two other House members are proposing a constitutional amendment that allows a person born in another country to become president or vice president of the United States. The proposal, introduced Wednesday, would allow individuals to hold the executive positions, regardless of where they were born, if they have been a U.S. citizen for at least 35 years. Reps. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., is also sponsoring the measure. The Constitution now limits the presidency and vice presidency to native-born Americans. ''This is a real issue for some people who are...
