Rafael Nadal broke a three-way tie with Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic by claiming his 21st Grand Slam title Sunday, coming back to beat Daniil Medvedev, 2-6, 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 6-4, 7-5, in the 2022 Australian Open men's singles final. Nadal rallied from two sets down -- just the third comeback from 0-2 at a major for Nadal in his career -- to win the marathon five-setter. Nadal, 35, along with Federer and Djokovic make up the generation-defining Big Three that has dominated the professional circuit for well over a decade now. With Nadal's 2022 Australian Open championship, the second...

Rafael Nadal is a truly great tennis player but the once great sporting nation of Australia has abandoned it's own proud history of sportsmanship to persecute Nadal's rival Djokovic for insisting on his rights to medical privacy and personal control of what substances are injected into his own body. I rate the chances pretty low of Cheif Commissioner Shane Patton doing anything to bring Novak's vicious criminal persecutors to justice. But I have started the formal process by demanding an investigation and one young police officer took the first step toward doing that. Patton should support her. And when and...

Rafael Nadal demolished Novak Djokovic 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 to win his 13th French Open and equal Roger Federer's all-time record of 20 Grand Slam titles on Sunday. For world number one Djokovic, the defeat ended his hopes of an 18th Slam and of becoming the first man since Rod Laver in 1969 to win all four majors twice. Nadal, 34, claimed his 100th match win at Roland Garros against just two defeats since his 2005 debut. The Spaniard, the oldest champion in Paris since Andres Gimeno in 1972, claimed the title without dropping a set. He finished the one-sided affair...

The French Open was postponed for about four months because of the coronavirus pandemic, juggling the tennis calendar by shifting from May to September. The French Tennis Federation said Tuesday it will hold its 15-day clay-court event at Roland Garros in Paris from Sept. 20 to Oct. 4, instead of May 24 to June 7, "to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved in organizing the tournament." Federation president Bernard Giudicelli described it as "a difficult yet brave decision in this unprecedented situation."

**SNIP** “Claire McCaskill is desperate. She’s a piece of shit. Instead of knowing why people of color are angered by this administration, she chooses to put us [and] our families in harm’s way,” Chappelle-Nadal wrote in a tweet on Monday. “If my family is harmed, blame it on Claire McCaskill. She deserves to lose. She is not a Democrat,” the state senator added. “Claire McCaskill and her racist democratic friends continue to alienate the base,” Chappelle-Nadal wrote in a Tuesday morning tweet. In another she referred to McCaskill as “Dixie Claire.”

I am like legit going through some issues, political and personal, and I can’t tell you how much I have been enjoying the Australian Open. What is it about slices and lobs and serving down the “T” that makes everything better? As we discussed yesterday, Serena Williams and Venus Williams are going head-to-head in the Australian Open final tomorrow/today (tomorrow morning for us Americans). And now this: Rafael Nadal made it to the finals. Which means that we’re getting an old-school Roger Federer vs. Rafa Nadal final, like the good old days!! Here’s the moment when Rafa won the nearly...

Rain or shine, clay or mud, Sunday or Monday, Rafael Nadal rules Roland Garros. The man they call "Rafa" won his record seventh French Open title Monday, returning a day after getting rained out to put the finishing touches on a 6-4, 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 victory over Novak Djokovic. He denied Djokovic in his own run at history — the quest for the "Novak Slam." The match ended on Djokovic's double-fault, a fittingly awkward conclusion to a final that had plenty of stops and starts, including a brief delay during the fourth set Monday while — what else? — a...

It is with a tinge of sadness that I tell you, the Reign of Roger is over. Never content with his domain as perpetual No. 2 to the would-be Greatest Ever, Rafael Nadal spent the past three years building a siege mound to the Federer Fortress. And in one historic summer it was fait accompli, trouncing Federer for the French Open title in June, wresting the Swiss man's beloved estate from him at Wimbledon in July and then garnering Olympic gold and glory last week in Beijing, all on three different surfaces. This was no snipe and hope but rather...

NIGERGATE: A FRENCH 007 ACCUSES THE CIA AND SISMI Il Giornale’s Marco Chiocci takes a look at the accusations made by the disgraced ex DGSE agent, Alain Chouet, in yesterdays Repubblica. The ex Spy master from Paris got his facts, faces and dates completely wrong. It’s interesting to see how a French socialist jumps at the opportunity to accuse the USA of deception. Unfortunately for Chouet the following article explains and exposes his and the Repubblica’s lies one by one. ARTICLE BEGINS -- A FRENCH 007 ACCUSES THE CIA AND SISMI WITHOUT ANY PROOF By GIAN MARCO CHIOCCI AND MARIO...

FLUSHING, New York (Ticker) - American James Blake has an underdog quality that has endeared him to U.S. Open fans. They will have an opportunity to cheer him on at least one more round. Blake produced arguably the biggest win of his career Saturday, stunning second-seeded Spaniard Rafael Nadal, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1, in the third round at Arthur Ashe Stadium. The 25-year-old Blake had missed much of last year with a broken neck, a lengthy illness and the death of his father from cancer, but he began to gain attention when he won last weekend's Pilot Pen tournament in...
