A Florida man accused of trying to slash a Walmart employee with scissors now faces federal charges after allegedly threatening President Donald Trump while he was being arrested. Federal court records show Mohammed Omar Haji Mohammed, 36, is charged with making threats against the president during the July 8 altercation. A Florida attorney says the misconduct complaint filed against him is a frivolous motion from a disgruntled opposing lawyer for his legal representation of a Christian who converted from Islam. The complaint was filed by The Florida Bar on behalf of Columbus attorney Omar Tarazi as he alleges that John Stemberger, who represented Rifqa Bary after she ran away from Ohio to Florida in 2009 because she feared persecution from her family, appeared on TV as the girl's attorney after he stopped representing her. WASHINGTON -- U.S. lawmakers formally asked the Bush administration Thursday to reconsider its approval of a sale giving a company in the United Arab Emirates control over significant operations at six major American ports. The lawmakers, including four senators and three House members, sharply criticized the UAE as inconsistent in its support of U.S. anti-terrorism efforts.
