President Trump's suggestion that NBC should potentially have its broadcast license challenged has prompted a wave of condemnation from both sides of the aisle, with many saying that such a move would violate the First Amendment. Trump lashed out at NBC News on Wednesday after the outlet reported that Trump had suggested increasing the nation's nuclear arms stockpile during a meeting with top Cabinet officials. "With all of the Fake News coming out of NBC and the Networks, at what point is it appropriate to challenge their License? Bad for country!" Trump tweeted.

RUSH: I told you yesterday, Snerdley, I told you yesterday that my comments on Trump and the NFL were gonna be purposefully taken out of context. I told all of you they would be taken out of context. I told all of you I knew exactly what would happen. I mean, Snerdley walks in here before everybody had left yesterday and said it’s already happening. He showed me a story from TheHill.com where they left out a very crucial aspect of what I said because the Drive-Bys are eager to report that a staunch Trumpist like me might be breaking...

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough said the president’s behavior is growing increasingly “erratic” — and co-host Mika Brzezinski suggested his Cabinet may be preparing a constitutional challenge. The “Morning Joe” host and his panelists reacted to the alarming Vanity Fair report that described the crisis within the White House, where aides say the president is “unraveling” in a job he’s not suited to hold. “He’s isolated,” Brzezinski said. “He’s probably going crazy.” Scarborough and Brzezinski, who have known the president for years, said Trump spent most of his career greeting associates and well-wishers in his office, fielding phone calls and gossiping with...

Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse issued a statement asking President Trump is he is “recanting” the oath he took to defend and uphold the Constitution after Trump suggesting revoking the “licenses” of network news organizations. “Mr. President: Words spoken by the President of the United States matter,” the Republican senator wrote in a statement. “Are you tonight recanting of the oath you took on Jan. 20 to preserve, protect, and defend the 1st Amendment?” Sasse’s tweet came after Trump sparked backlash from both conservatives and liberals by saying he should censor certain news outlets. “Network news has become so partisan, distorted...

Last year NBC News was scooped on one of the biggest stories of the year -- Donald Trump talking about groping women on NBC's "Access Hollywood" tape. The Washington Post published it first. Now NBC is under scrutiny for another missed opportunity. Reporter and NBC contributor Ronan Farrow pursued leads about Harvey Weinstein's misconduct for months, but NBC passed on the chance to publish his story.

RUSH: Salena Zito, one of the first in the media to correctly identify the strengths of Donald Trump via his voters and why they think and support Trump the way they do. She’s on CNN. She’s got a contract there. She’s an analyst, a commentator, shows up now and then. She was on This Morning with Poppy Harlow. They’re talking about Trump’s rhetoric and how much damage, Bob Corker and the IQ test with Tillerson and all that. And Poppy Harlow said this to Salena: “Salena, we’ve seen friends of Trump try to communicate to him through the media. You...

I thought the press coverage of President Trump was slanted but I didn’t think it was this bad. The obvious bias has now been quantified in new research done by Pew Research Center looking into the negative stories on the president. Over Trump’s first 100 days in office, 24 different media organizations found that reporting on the president has been the most negative of any other president who has been in office over the past 25 years. Research further revealed that only 5 percent of the media’s reporting during this period was positive while 62 percent was negative and 33...

On Tuesday’s episode of MSNBC’s Deadline White House host Nicolle Wallace said the Second Amendment was intended to help fight against “foreign militias,” not to create an “armed population” while interviewing gun-control activists. Wallace used New York Times columnist Bret Stephens recent op-ed calling for the repeal of the Second Amendment as a jumping-off point while interviewing John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety, and actress Julianne Moore. “A conservative wrote a piece last week that got a lot of attention about maybe opening up the conversation about the Second Amendment,” Wallace said. “His name is Bret Stephens, and...

This is 100 percent pure speculation, but if I were a betting man, I'd say The Six, hosted by Jemele Hill and Michael Smith, will be gone from ESPN before the end of the year. -snip- First things first, despite what the lunatic in charge of our country tweets, one host who appears for an hour a day is not responsible for an entire network's ratings tanking. Yes, the ratings for The Six are down from that time slot last year when ESPN aired SportsCenter featuring Lindsay Czarniak. But let's put things in perspective and offer some context. Via Awful...

Ronan Farrow’s bombshell investigation into Harvey Weinstein’s sexual misconduct was reportedly rejected by NBC over sourcing concerns before he took it to The New Yorker magazine. Farrow had been working on the investigative piece for the peacock network — where he serves as a contributor, according to the Huffington Post. Farrow and NBC even had incriminating audio in August where Weinstein admitting to groping a woman, the website said.

The Audience Strategy Editor at The New York Times was caught on hidden camera boasting of his newspaper’s version of journalistic ethics. In a newly-released video by Project Veritas, the editor, Nicholas Dudich, is asked about being objective at the Times. “No I’m not, that’s why I’m here,” Dudich replies. Dudich, who manages videos which go on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram for the Times, said “my voice is on…my imprint is on every video we do.” Dudich goes on to explain what he might do to target President Trump: “I’d target his businesses, his dumb f–k of a son, Donald...

Though the New York Times has been widely celebrated for its article exposing decades of sexual-harassment accusations against Harvey Weinstein, one journalist claims the paper sat on an earlier article detailing the producer’s misconduct. Sharon Waxman, founder of the Wrap, writes that her own investigate reporting, which took her on an international trip to uncover rumors of Weinstein’s sexual misconduct, was cut from the Times in 2004 under pressure from several Hollywood elites. Waxman alleges in the Wrap that Matt Damon and Russell Crowe called her “directly” to dispel the reports she was following about Miramax’s Italian head Fabrizio Lombardo,...

ESPN suspended Hill for calling for a boycott of the Dallas Cowboys’ advertisers after Cowboys owner Jerry Jones threatened to bench any player who kneeled during the anthem. Hill’s boycott was her second violation of ESPN’s social media policies, the network said. She previously stirred controversy by calling President Trump a “white supremacist” on Twitter. The backlash against ESPN for Hill’s suspension began almost immediately among left-wing activists and celebrities, many of whom used the hashtag “#BoycottESPN” on social media.

From the founding of America 241 years ago, those opposed to and threatened by America’s Founding Fathers’ noble aspirations of freedom for all and a government in which citizens and not kings or dictators decide who will represent them have waged fierce resistance. From the Muslim Barbary Pirates who fought America’s first presidents (George Washington, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson) to today’s equally bellicose, supremacist, and fascist groups like Black Lives Matter and Antifa, all harbor the fantasy of destroying big bad America and replacing our Democratic Republic first with socialism and finally with communism. Predictably, they are fully supported...
