At the end of October, a 73-year-old man was beaten so badly by a group of teenagers in the Dutch city of Arnhem that he later died of his injuries. Dutch police say it’s the latest and most serious example of “pedophile hunting,” which is sweeping the country. According to local police, the man, who was a retired teacher, was in an online chatroom where he agreed to meet a 15-year-old boy for sex. The man knew the boy was a minor, authorities say, but there was no evidence that he’d had past sexual contact with underage boys. The man...

Raleigh, N.C., citizens are on alert after two cases of black mob violence in two nights in their downtown. The attacks are the latest in a series of episodes of racial violence in the area. The local ABC affiliate was the only media outlet to report that last Tuesday, a group of at least 15 black people stalked and beat a homeless woman after she saw them coming and tried to get out of their way. In contrast to most cases of black racial violence, local journalist Kelli O’Hara actually identified the mob the way victims and the police did:...

Norfolk-May 8: E.W. Jackson will be holding a press conference at the corner of Brambleton and Church Ave in Norfolk (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza) near the site of the Norfolk Mob attack on two innocent Virginian Pilot reporters on April 14. Bishop Jackson will be challenging the community, the media and all levels of government from the President to City Council and School Board Members, to combat the “racializing” of incidents and the exploitation of those incidents for political purposes. He is inviting religious and political groups to unite in a vision of America where violence against innocent...

There’s outrage in Norfolk, Va., today after a white couple was attacked by a group of 100 black teenagers, and the local newspaper did not report on the incident for two weeks, despite the victims being employees of the paper. Even today, the Virginian-Pilot did not cover the crime as news, but rather as an opinion piece by columnist Michelle Washington. “Wave after wave of young men surged forward to take turns punching and kicking their victim,” Washington wrote, describing the onslaught that began when Dave Forster and Marjon Rostami stopped at a red light while driving home from a...

Police continue to downplay the Trayvon Martin connection to the beating. But a neighbor confirms what his sister told News 5. The neighbor, too scared to go on camera, told News 5's Lauren Vargas that they heard one of the suspects say "This is justice for Trayvon" as she drove away. Tonight, an angry mother who lives on the street told News 5's Blake Brown that the kids who live on Delmar Drive are the real victims. Before Lauren Vargas' live shot on News 5 at 5:00, a black woman who lives on the street started yelling at Lauren saying...

I’m sorry. I got that header wrong. It was a black mob that ransacked convenience stores and hammered a group of white people in Milwaukee this past July 4th weekend. Dang it. I ain’t ever gonna make it in this business. I’m such an idiot. Yep, this past weekend in the Brewer’s city a horde of African Americans, according to Milwaukee’s Police Chief Edward Flynn, looted a convenience store and beat a group of white twentysomethings in a local park in a “disturbing, outrageous and barbaric fashion.” The fact that it was a black on white assault would explain why...

What is the most important thing about mobs of black teens attacking and seriously injuring innocent pedestrians and businesses? The feelings of teenagers who share the race of the attackers, according to Chicago's local CBS affiliate. That's right: Mobs of teenagers have unleashed terror in the streets of Chicago and other cities in "flash mobs," and the best thing CBS in Chicago has to say about that is that black teenagers are worried about racial profiling.George Orwell would shudder after reading this headline: "Some Worry Mob Attacks Are Encouraging Racial Profiling." In the story, a journalist interviews young black teens...

The streets were vibrant. The weather was nice. "The city had a good vibe," remembered one of the women, Maria, who requested her full name not be printed. But their night on the town was about to become frightening. Heading their way was a pack of teens roving through Center City after leaving a North Philadelphia music festival. They were part of about 100 or more young people who had left Saturday night's event, police said, committing a series of violent assaults and robberies, including one against Maria, 25, of North Philadelphia, and her cousin Cecilia, 29, of Havertown.

A number of emergency calls on Memorial Day could pose a credibility problem for Mayor Rahm Emanuel and his new police superintendent. The official word from city officials has been that North Avenue Beach was closed that holiday due to concerns for public health. But calls made by beach-goers to Chicago's Office of Emergency Management and Communications seem to support claims that gang activity was also at play. "There's a fight breaking out on the beach, because there's nothing but animals covering this beach today," one caller is heard saying in recordings obtained by WLS-AM radio through a Freedom of...

Was it a flash mob that forced the closure of North Avenue beach on Memorial Day? Chicago Police News Affairs released a statement saying they had to close the beach for safety reasons, as people were suffering heat exhaustion and emergency vehicles couldn't get through to help. But, WLS listeners say there was what they called a "large gangbanger element" at the Oak Street and North Avenue beaches. READ: Emanuel: Police made right call in closing beach Listeners report being at the beach, and seeing dozens of gang bangers pushing people off their bikes. In two separate incidents, as many as 15 teens have stormed Chicago Transit Authority buses, attacked their victims and darted off with cell phones and other electronic devices, authorities said Tuesday.
