U.S. Senate candidate Travis Childers made a naked play pandering for Chris McDaniel voters Thursday by signing the same FAIR anti-amnesty pledge as the Republican state senator. Childers is hoping the news overshadows the fact that the liberal noose of the Democrat Party remains securely tightened around his neck. Rabid McDaniel voters seized on the news, sending a tingle down their legs. Some attempted to make the leap that somehow it showed that Childers is more conservative than Thad Cochran, the Republican nominee, as if this one bit of news alone gave them the reason they needed to crossover.

Cochran Attempt to Strike Hosemann's Opinion on 20 Day Deadline Fails Thad Cochran's attorneys failed in their effort to keep the Secretary of State’s statements on Republican Chris McDaniel’s appeal out of the record yesterday. Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann has at least twice previously stated to the Clarion-Ledger that there was no deadline for filing a challenge for a statewide primary election. Attorneys for Cochran filed a motion to strike Hosemann's statements from the record in the McDaniel appeal to the Mississippi Supreme Court. Judge Hollis McGehee heard arguments on the Motion in Mendenhall on Monday.

A Mississippi coroner who advised residents to arm themselves and shoot home intruders said today that he had been angered about a recent spate of burglaries and wasn’t trying to drum up business. VICKSBURG, Miss., Sept. 2 (UPI) -- A pair of Mississippi men said they had close encounters with a Bigfoot-like creature on separate occasions near the same playground. Vicksburg resident Peyton Lassiter told The (Jackson, Miss.) Clarion-Ledger he discovered a footprint and some mysterious gray hair near a local playground Aug. 12, and David Childers, a paranormal investigator who has been featured on cable network A&E, said he caught a glimpse of a 6-foot-tall "creature" with "grayish-brown" hair at the playground in November of last year.
