SEC football is the most entertaining sport in America because of videos like this. Ole Miss, masterfully snatching defeat from the jaws of victory thanks to the disastrous play of quarterback Bo Wallace, has just lost to LSU. The boyfriend/husband, an LSU fan, potentially soon to be broken up with, divorced or murdered in his sleep, exults in the sweet glow of victory. His girlfriend? Well, she hates LSU. With that prelude, enjoy.
  • Pledge Aligns Childers with Hate Groups

In September, Travis Childers, Mississippi's Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate, completed a survey about immigration. Childers' stance has consistently been anti-immigration, so his opposing amnesty for "dreamers," young people whose parents brought them into this country without authorization when they were too young to object, is no surprise. #What angers Democrats is the questionnaire's source: The Federation for American Immigration Reform, known as FAIR. The questions are: 1. Will you oppose or support legislation that would grant any form of work authorization to illegal aliens? 2. Will you oppose or support legislation that would increase the overall number of...

Laurel, MS -- Republican Chris McDaniel issued a statement today in the wake of the Supreme Court's dismissal of his motion to appeal. "Republicans in Mississippi are still left wanting for justice after June's Republican primary was decided by more than 40,000 Democrats," McDaniel said. "Worse yet, the courts refused even to hear our challenge," McDaniel said. "When we launched this campaign over a year ago, we committed to fight to the very end, and many conservatives showed a great deal of courage in standing up with us," he continued. "And the fight to save our republic is only just...

No news article to post-- the only article so far is in the Clarion-Ledger, which we can't post. But the Mississippi Supreme Court affirmed the lower court ruling that Chris McDaniel's challenge to Thad Cochran's primary win was filed too late. The Court's decision is here.

  • Upholding the Constitution: The Backbone of True Conservatism (Must Read)

In recent months, hacks for the establishment have continued their assault on Chris McDaniel and his supporters, especially ridiculing the new labels “McGOP” and “McDaniel Republicans” that have begun making rounds on social media. The reason for the distinctive tags is quite simple really: It separates us from them, the true conservatives from the establishment, those of us who hold tight to conservative principles and those who clearly do not, although they would like us to believe they do. And most importantly, it separates those of us who believe in upholding the original purity of the Constitution from those who...

A bipartisan group of senators from across the political spectrum—from Elizabeth Warren and Patrick J. Leahy to Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio—wants President Barack Obama to speak out and act to support Hong Kong’s democracy movement. They don’t specify exactly what they want Obama to do—they say “demonstrable, meaningful steps”—but note that a 1992 law “authorizes you to suspend trade and economic provisions should Beijing not provide sufficient autonomy for Hong Kong.”Leahy, the Vermont Democrat who is president pro tempore and Judiciary chairman, leads the letter with Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., and Rubio.“The people of Hong Kong have sent a strong...
  • So why isn’t the NRSC doing more in, say, New Hampshire’s Senate race? Or, indeed, anything?

I’m not exactly sure what the reasoning is, here. It’s not because the race isn’t competitive. It is – or, more accurately, it could be. Jeanne Sheehan is ahead of Scott Brown by 6.5 points in the current RCP average, sure. But she’s also under 50% in the aggregate polling, which is the usual rule of thumb for an incumbent in trouble. This is the sort of situation where throwing some advertisting cash into the mix could really come in handy. Of course, it’s a little late for that now – back in May the Democrats blocked out about $1...
  • Maybe enough is finally enough in St. Louis County as Black Democrats endorse White Republican

Beware of the low flying pigs as you watch hell freeze over; a group of Black Democrats in St. Louis County has endorsed White Republican Rick Stream in his race for County Executive. The group known as the Fannie Lou Hamer Coalition (FLHC), named for the Voting Rights giant who worked to give Blacks the right to vote in Mississippi during the summer of 1965, has finally awakened to the fact that Democrats do not care about them and never have. They point to the continuing failure of the county’s schools to educate Black children and the Democrat’s shameless pandering...
  • Travis Childers (D) pledges allegiance to SPLC designated hate group(SPLC to advise Thad campaign?)

    10/03/2014 10:43:46 PM PDT · by ObamahatesPACoal · 18 replies
U.S. Senate candidate Travis Childers made a naked play pandering for Chris McDaniel voters Thursday by signing the same FAIR anti-amnesty pledge as the Republican state senator. Childers is hoping the news overshadows the fact that the liberal noose of the Democrat Party remains securely tightened around his neck. Rabid McDaniel voters seized on the news, sending a tingle down their legs. Some attempted to make the leap that somehow it showed that Childers is more conservative than Thad Cochran, the Republican nominee, as if this one bit of news alone gave them the reason they needed to crossover.
  • The Hypocrisy Astounds in MSGOP Facebook Post

Just when you thought the Mississippi Republican Party could not get any more hypocritical than they already are, they surprise us again! The Mississippi GOP, in a posting on Facebook, attacked Travis Childers and Rickey Cole for taking a page from the liberal playbook – the class card. President Obama knew “hope” and “change” would not “win him a second term, so he used class envy to play on the worst instincts of his voters.” So now Childers and Cole are doing likewise, they tell us. Democrats “love playing the ‘rich versus poor’ game. That’s a great political tactic, but...

Cochran Attempt to Strike Hosemann's Opinion on 20 Day Deadline Fails Thad Cochran's attorneys failed in their effort to keep the Secretary of State’s statements on Republican Chris McDaniel’s appeal out of the record yesterday. Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann has at least twice previously stated to the Clarion-Ledger that there was no deadline for filing a challenge for a statewide primary election. Attorneys for Cochran filed a motion to strike Hosemann's statements from the record in the McDaniel appeal to the Mississippi Supreme Court. Judge Hollis McGehee heard arguments on the Motion in Mendenhall on Monday.

A Mississippi coroner who advised residents to arm themselves and shoot home intruders said today that he had been angered about a recent spate of burglaries and wasn’t trying to drum up business. David Scott Gregory, 40, the coroner of largely rural Winston County in eastern Mississippi, went on social media during the weekend to urge residents to buy guns and be willing to use them on burglars. “I say shoot the idiots and call the Coroner!” Gregory wrote on Facebook. “I’d hate for any innocent people to get hurt, but at the same time, my stuff is my stuff;...

VICKSBURG, Miss., Sept. 2 (UPI) -- A pair of Mississippi men said they had close encounters with a Bigfoot-like creature on separate occasions near the same playground. Vicksburg resident Peyton Lassiter told The (Jackson, Miss.) Clarion-Ledger he discovered a footprint and some mysterious gray hair near a local playground Aug. 12, and David Childers, a paranormal investigator who has been featured on cable network A&E, said he caught a glimpse of a 6-foot-tall "creature" with "grayish-brown" hair at the playground in November of last year.
