<p>The week-long search for a missing local Marine ended in tragedy this weekend when his body was found during a search on Saturday, according to his family and a search team leader.</p> <p>Officials and relatives have not yet said where Sgt. Tristan Clinger was found or how he died.</p>

<p>Officials from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, near Pemberton, are looking for 28-year-old Marine Sgt. Tristan Clinger.</p> <p>Clinger’s wife told the station the man took off on foot around 4 p.m. ET on December 20 and has not been seen since then.</p>

BOULDER, Colo. Authorities say a Marine who is missing after reportedly injuring his head while hiking in Colorado's Eldorado Canyon last week staged his disappearance. Boulder County officials say they're still looking for 21-year-old Lance Hering, who was back at Camp Pendleton, California, after being on leave from Iraq. They say they've arrested Hering's friend, 20-year-old Steve Powers, for investigation of allegedly making a false report. Authorities say they became suspicious when they re-interviewed Powers about his August 29th hiking trip with Hering. United Press International November 19, 2004 WASHINGTON - The U.S. Marines have reopened their investigation in Cpl. Wassef Hassoun, who went missing in June in Fallujah and turned up in Lebanon, CNN reports. The move was sparked when troops recently discovered several of his personal items, including his passport, military ID and uniform in Fallujah. Hassoun vanished June 20 and was listed as a deserter.
