"Barack Obama Warns Black Lives Matter ‘Rhetoric,’ Violence, May Stop His Takeover of State, Local Police" President Barack Obama is warning his angry supporters that more violence and “rhetoric” by the Black Lives Matter movement could derail his campaign to federalize state and local police forces. “In a movement like Black Lives Matter, there’s always going to be some folks who say things that are stupid, or imprudent, or overgeneralized, or harsh,” Obama told reporters at a Sunday press conference, just three days after an African-American cop-hating racist murdered five police officers who were guarding a Black Lives Matter protest...

#BlackLivesMatter leader DeRay Mckesson may claim to be leading a grassroots revolution for racial and economic justice, but he has close connections with the privileged and elite. Mckesson lives in a home owned by philanthropists James and Robin Wood in Baltimore, Maryland. It’s the same address he used when declaring his residency on his campaign committee registration form for his failed mayoral run in the city’s Democratic primary earlier this year. The Woods have owned the home since 1996 and are wealthy donors to the Baltimore chapter of George Soros’ Open Society Institute.

A plastic surgeon in Ukraine has been slammed for taking selfies with his unconscious patients while performing surgery. Edgar Kaminskyi, 31, has been a plastic surgeon for eight years, but his practice of taking photos while his team operates on their patients is what has attracted the most attention. The surgeon often shares the photos with his more than 104,000 Instagram followers, including before and after images of women with breast implants and the silicon implants themselves. But it is the photos — and even videos — of him operating that have caused the most uproar. In one photo, the...

A neighbor of mine, who once considered himself a Bernie supporter, handed me a copy of the book after I expressed some curiosity and told him that I read some of it online. The book talks about everything from government engineered diseases to extraterrestrial conspiracies, most of which is complete nonsense, but some that also rings eerily accurate in 2016. I'm not willing to do more than brush Cooper's book off as coincidental rubbish – which I really think it is – but I find myself compelled to share the passages and moments from the book that struck me the...

ATLANTA — Wanda Melton has voted for every Republican presidential nominee since Ronald Reagan in 1980, but now the Georgia grandmother plans to cross over to support Democrat Hillary Clinton. “I’m not a real fan of Hillary,” Melton says from her office in Atlanta. “But I think it would just be awful to have Donald Trump.” She adds: “I cannot in good conscience let that happen.” Melton is among a particular group of voters, whites with college degrees, who are resistant to Trump. Their skepticism comes as an ominous warning as Trump struggles to rebuild even the losing coalition that...

As military-grade robotics get cheaper and more capable, someone will arm them and put them on American streets. Robot-maker Sean Bielat says he’s fine with the Dallas Police Department’s apparently unprecedented use of a bomb-disposal robot to kill a gunman on Thursday. “A robot was used to keep people out of harm’s way in an extreme situation,†said Bielat, the CEO of Endeavor Robotics, a spinoff of iRobot’s military division. “That’s how robots are intended to be used.†Joergen Pedersen, the CEO of RE2 robotics and the chairman of the National Defense Industrial Association’s robotics division concurred. “If these robots are...

We noted in our first piece on the Alton Sterling shooting that while he appeared to reach for a firearm in his pocket, it was still disputable. Only one video was available at the time, and it wasn’t of the best quality. A second video has surfaced, and it does appear to validate the police narrative on the shooting.

The Executive Director of the Minnesota Police & Peace Officers Association released a strongly worded statement Friday regarding the recent officer-involved shootings. "First of all, and most importantly, our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the recent tragic events in Falcon Heights, Dallas and Baton Rouge. The families and friends, the faith communities that provide much needed support to those affected – they all need our prayers and support. The nation needs consoling at this time.
