Thank you for contacting me to relay your concerns regarding Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl, prisoner of war who went missing in Afghanistan in 2009. I appreciate you taking the time to share your views with me. As you know, on June 20, 2009, Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl went missing while serving in Afghanistan. Since that time, Islamic militant groups have released multiple videos showing Sergeant Bergdahl, the most recent of which was released in January with a reference date of December 14, 2013. As a former POW, please rest assured that I will continue to work with my colleagues in Congress to...

Billionaire Paul Allen has given millions of dollars to conservation causes over the years, including ones that support ocean exploration and preservation. But earlier this month, his 300-foot yacht Tatoosh allegedly caused significant damage to a protected coral reef in the Cayman Islands. The anchor and chain of the vessel allegedly damaged 14,000 square feet of reef on January 14, according to Cayman Islands' Department of Environment. The incident occurred in a protected area of Grand Cayman called the West Bay replenishment zone, which is near popular scuba diving sites. The M/V Tatoosh was "moored in a position explicitly directed...

DES MOINES, Iowa — Donald Trump won. The Republican debate lost — and so did his rivals. The Republican candidate skipped the final televised faceoff before Iowans vote in caucuses on Monday. That spared him all but glancing, humorous blows from those battling to catch up. "Let me say, I'm a maniac and everyone on this stage is stupid, fat and ugly," Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas began. "And Ben, you're a terrible surgeon. Now that we've gotten the Donald Trump portion out of the way ..." Later, Cruz jokingly threatened to leave the stage if he received any more...

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Donald Trump holds a dominant position in the three states that get first crack at picking a Republican presidential nominee, according to polls released Thursday. An NBC/Wall Street Journal/ Marist poll has Trump opening up a seven-point lead over chief rival Ted Cruz in Iowa, 32-25 percent, just days before the state's highly anticipated caucuses Monday. The poll confirms gains Trump has recorded in other surveys, which coincide with his relentless personal attacks on Cruz as a "nasty guy" born in Canada. Three weeks ago in the same poll, Trump trailed Cruz by 28-24. The New...

Is a secret sniper killing off Isil's high command in Libya? Mystery gunman credited with shooting three of the terror group's leaders in their new "Caliphate" in Colonel Gaddafi's home city of Sirte As befits all the best practitioners of his shadowy trade, no-one is quite sure whether he is one man or many, or even simply an urban legend. But after a string of assassinations of its local henchmen, the Islamic State's new "Caliphate" in the Libyan city of Sirte is abuzz with talk that an anti-Isil sniper is at work. In recent weeks, no fewer than three...

France restricts new documentary on Islamic terror to adults onlyFrance has restricted access to a new documentary on radical Islam by giving it the French equivalent of an NC-17 film rating, The New York Times reports. The French Culture Ministry said Wednesday that "Salafistes," which explores life under Sharia law and the roots of extremist groups like ISIS and the Salafists, is inappropriate for minors due to "sometimes unbearable" scenes that are "degrading to human dignity," the newspaper adds. Only adults 18 and over will be able to see the film in theaters.

I'm a big fan of the Ford Ranger truck. Back in 2011 Ford unwisely discontinued Ranger production in the United States. But recently the Internet has been filled with stories about the Ranger coming back to the US in 2016. The official Ford site is silent about this. So today I called a nearby Ford dearship. Forget about it, they said, the Ranger is not coming back to the US. Maybe that's true, maybe they just want to sell me a F150 today. So does anybody here know the inside scoop on the Ranger?

If you’re a leftist who believes other leftists, it’s probable you think guns (even fully automatic ones) can easily be purchased without a background check. You hold this notion for a simple reason: your leftist leaders in political circles reaching as high as the White House, say such silly things as “Guns are easier to buy than books.” A myth which is as true as receiving a college scholarship from the tooth fairy. To prove how wrong leftists are about guns, we took a hidden camera to gun shows and gun dealers. We tried weaseling through the “gun show loophole”...

Few neighborhoods can match the perks of Adams Morgan in Washington, D.C. - a reality that reflects a broader problem for the U.S. housing market. Residents of Adams Morgan enjoy a bevy of bars, restaurants, exercise studios and shopping, just steps from their row houses and condo buildings. Home values are reasonable relative to neighborhood incomes. And in general, the area schools rate as better than average nationally. Across the country, just 14 percent of neighborhoods manage to be at once affordably priced, walkable and near decent schools. And many of those neighborhoods exist in only two cities: Washington and...

The former first daughter, 35, has not been shy about her political ambitions, though where she'd begin her career in politics is anyone's guess. Last March, Chelsea reportedly told Sky News that she'd "absolutely" consider seeking office. "She's clearly politically adept," says our Clinton supporter. "People at these rallies think she's prime for a run." Wednesday night's Chelsea Clinton event is being co-hosted by tennis great Billie Jean King and billed as an "LGBT reception." Gay rights were also very much on Chelsea's mind at last week's fund-raiser, where she assured donors that her mom would use executive action to...

When it comes to the never-ending quest to slim down, we’ve all heard about the success of the Atkins diet and eating Paleo. But one New York City chef used a far more revolutionary method to lose an astounding 94 pounds: the Pizza Diet. Naples, Italy, native Pasquale Cozzolino, 38, moved to New York in 2011 to work at Midtown’s PizzArte, and he quickly packed on the pounds. The 6-foot-6-inch chef weighed a healthy 254 pounds when he first got off the plane, but his waistline expanded as he made efforts to familiarize himself with the city’s restaurants and turned...

Jeb Bush and John Kasich hired them for key campaign staff positions. John Boehner and others campaigned for them. Speaker Paul Ryan said he would vote to grant them special rights. And Nikki Haley pledged that a future Republican president “… would respect differences in modern families” while respecting religious freedom, which many see as irreconcilable objectives. Why is the GOP establishment “going gay”? There are only a few possibilities. At first glance, it seems money, prestige or protection from the loss of either must be the principal motives. It can’t possibly be the case that this many people suddenly...

He will not be participating in the FOX News debate and will instead host an event in Iowa to raise money for the Veterans and Wounded Warriors, who have been treated so horribly by our all talk, no action politicians. Like running for office as an extremely successful person, this takes guts and it is the kind mentality our country needs in order to Make America Great Again.
