It sure as heck ain’t your grandfather’s military anymore; nor is it your father’s or your uncle’s. It’s not even your older brother’s military anymore. Whose military is it now – Kirsten Gillibrand’s, the LGBT mafia, soccer moms, Obama-worshipping fools, cultural Marxists and walking, talking, clueless cannon fodder. Our military is focused on just about everything except preparing for war and for war against enemies who are going to be bringing navies, armies and air forces to the fight; enemies like the Chinese, the North Koreans and the Russkies; enemies who are not insurgents in the Middle East. The Chinese...

NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-- Seventy-seven years have passed since North Platte first welcomed troops at the Canteen with some food and kindness. That spirit of generosity and patriotism still carries on today and the recent community effort to feed 700 U.S. Army men and women passing through the area is proof. The two-day effort on Monday and Tuesday to serve up a tasty meal for our troops had to be kept quiet for security reasons; but, now News 2 has permission to share about the community effort behind the Canteen revival. PITTSBURGH - Monday night several helicopters were seen flying low over the city, causing many Pittsburghers to question what was happening. At Channel 11 we received several calls, and got many more messages on the WPXI Facebook page. Viewers reported as many as six helicopters over the city, sometimes flying at heights that appeared to be just a few hundred feet above the ground. Channel 11 reached out to public safety officials and we're told it is part of a military training exercise "This is a planned exercise in cooperation with local authorities and is not in response to any...

Zehut party chairman and former MK Moshe Feiglin gave full backing to his son Avi, a soldier in the Kfir Brigade who uploaded a Facebook post calling to refuse orders that place soldiers’ lives in danger so as to minimize harm to Arab rioters. Following the post, Avi was tried and dismissed from his combat position. "My son Avi received 10 days conditional imprisonment and was removed from combat duties, but I want to tell you that he is doing the greatest fighting that is required today," Feiglin said in a response. A military coup in the United States? What a far-fetched idea! The US military has always been under strict civilian control and has stayed out of politics. America is no banana republic where generals strut around in peacock uniforms and tell politicians what to do. However, over the past year and a half America has changed beyond recognition. Who could’ve imagined that a US President would lie on average three times per day, attack the free press and the judiciary and side with a foreign enemy against the CIA and the FBI? Who could’ve thought that the Republicans would gleefully...

DON'T GET NUKED The Navy and Marine Corps rightly spend much of their time on chemical, biological and radiological training. As bombs and triggering devices become more mobile and terrorists become more sophisticated, it is important to prepare ourselves for disaster while hoping that it will be avoided. Regarding chemical and biological warfare, it is especially difficult to believe that something so small and invisible can be so deadly and dangerous. Just a little toxin in the air . . . and the next thing you know you're doing the "funky chicken" on the ground....
