Full title: "Election results may have been hacked in three swing states Trump won, activists want Clinton to seek recount" __ Not so fast. A prominent group of election lawyers and computer scientists said presidential election results in three swing states that Donald Trump won may have been manipulated or hacked, and are pressing Hillary Clinton to seek a recount, according to a report. The group held a conference call last week with Clinton's top campaign lieutenants and lobbied for a challenge after finding something fishy in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, according to New York Magazine.

Attorneys for Michigan Governor Rick Snyder are asking a judge to toss out a lawsuit against the state of Michigan filed by students in the Detroit school system and claim that literacy is not a legal right in the state of Michigan. Seven children filed the lawsuit in September, saying decades of state disinvestment and deliberate indifference to Detroit's schools have denied them access to literacy. The plaintiffs say the schools have deplorable building conditions, lack of books, classrooms without teachers, insufficient desks, buildings plagued by vermin, unsafe facilities and extreme temperatures.

Whites voted for Donald Trump, so apparently they aren’t allowed to protest him in anything other than servile roles. The Michigan Review notes that a logistics sheet for Wednesday’s 1,000-student walkout at the University of Michigan – to protest the election and “increase in hate crimes and other forms of violence against marginalized folx” – prescribed specific roles for whites in attendance.

Hillary Clinton's campaign ignored pleas from staff members for the candidate to boost her efforts in Michigan and Wisconsin, two unexpected battleground states, The Huffington Post reported Wednesday. The two states, considered safely Democratic by virtually all pollsters ahead of the election, swung for Donald Trump on Election Day, securing the Republican his shocking victory. One senior operative told The Huffington Post that in Michigan, which Clinton is on track to lose by about 12,000 votes, her campaign's canvassing operation was one-tenth the size of Democratic candidate John Kerry's in 2004. In Wisconsin, local campaign officials were forced to raise...

In 2003, Michigan made national headlines by passing several dramatic criminal justice reforms, including repealing mandatory minimum sentences for drug offenses. Thirteen years later, three significant measures are before the current Legislature, and they have re-ignited the debate about corrections practices. The Michigan House passed bills relating to juvenile sentencing, the parole of prisoners and the power of judges. The bills have been pending before Senate committees for months. Juvenile Sentencing The juvenile justice package (House Bill 4947 et seq) would raise the age of criminal responsibility to 18, meaning that 17-year-olds, the current minimum age for trying someone as...

Concerns abound that Obama could declare martial law in the wake of George Soros-funded anarchists taking to the streets of U.S. cities and agitating protesters to step up their violence against Donald Trump’s presidential victory. The protests have been more violent each night since Wednesday. Others fear Obama could pardon legions of hardened criminals or even provoke a war with a foreign power. “The open-borders’ George Soros was the second biggest loser Tuesday night, after Hillary,” says former Congresswoman Michele Bachmann of Minnesota. “He was her major investor and she owed him.

Staffers at the University of Michigan Law School scheduled a post-presidential election event entitled “Post-election Self-care with Food and Play.” The event, featuring Play-Doh, bubbles and Legos, has now apparently been canceled — possibly in response to heaps of ridicule. The “Post-election Self-care with Food and Play” event was scheduled to take place in Room 138 of Hutchins Hall on Michigan’s stunningly beautiful Law Quadrangle. The day after the 2016 election for president, General Motors announced it was laying off another 2,000 workers in plants in Ohio and Michigan, two states that gave President-elect Donald Trump a major victory on Tuesday. GM said the layoffs will affect the third shifts in the plants in Lordstown, Ohio, and Lansing, Michigan, which build the low-selling cars sold under the Chevrolet and Cadillac brand names. “The Lordstown plant builds the compact Chevrolet Cruze, whose U.S. sales through October were down 20%,” Fortune magazine reported. “The Lansing Grand River plant builds the Cadillac ATS and CTS, whose sales were...

“People are frustrated, people are just really sad and shocked,” said Trey Boynton, the director of multi-ethnic student affairs at the University of Michigan. “A lot of people are feeling like there has been a loss. We talked about grief today and about the loss of hope that this election would solidify the progress that was being made.” There was a steady flow of students entering Ms. Boynton’s office Wednesday. They spent the day sprawled around the center, playing with Play-Doh and coloring in coloring books, as they sought comfort and distraction.

Flipping Michigan red is huge. It had been a blue state since 1988, so it was thrilling to see the numbers today. They deserve the best. Michigan really can be the “Comeback State.” I told people at my recent rallies there that they are blessed with every element of a perfectly positive storm that could, finally, rev up their state’s economy like they deserve: the natural resources, the industrial infrastructure, and most importantly the manpower and work ethic. And now, finally, Michigan has chosen a pro-private sector presidential candidate who knows how to create jobs. I’ve felt this way about...

To All Members of the University Community: As I’m sure many of you did, I watched the election coverage late into the night, and had the opportunity to visit with students and staff at a results-watching event sponsored by the Ginsberg Center at the Michigan Union. It will take quite some time to completely absorb the results from yesterday’s election, understand the full implications, and discern the long-term impact on our university and our nation. More immediately, in the aftermath of a close and highly contentious election we continue to embrace our most important responsibility as a university community. Our...

It took nearly 16 hours to determine but Michigan is officially with Donald Trump. Trump has won a hard fought battle for Michigan’s 16 electoral votes. Just after 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson released the final popular vote totals. In the presidential race Donald Trump received 2,277,586 votes to Hillary Clinton’s 2,264,361. Trump recorded a razor-thin margin in the 83 county total: 47.60 percent to Clinton’s 47.33 percent. It’s a key win that few saw coming in Trump’s quest for the 270 votes that could make him the next president of the United States.

Go to this site, Politico or any of the others featuring presidential maps. They have finally called Alaska for Donald Trump, not that the result was ever in doubt, but it just shows the bile of the media. Meanwhile, Arizona is still in doubt even with Trump's solid lead. So is Michigan, Minnesota and New Hampshire, with Hillary holding a steady but still narrow lead in only the last two.And didn't Trump actually win one electoral vote in Maine's 2nd congressional district? Or is that still undecided? Maine is solid Clinton colored.Does it really kill them that much to admit...
