Flipping Michigan red is huge. It had been a blue state since 1988, so it was thrilling to see the numbers today. They deserve the best.
Michigan really can be the Comeback State. I told people at my recent rallies there that they are blessed with every element of a perfectly positive storm that could, finally, rev up their states economy like they deserve: the natural resources, the industrial infrastructure, and most importantly the manpower and work ethic. And now, finally, Michigan has chosen a pro-private sector presidential candidate who knows how to create jobs.
Ive felt this way about Michigan for many years, including in 2008 when the McCain/Palin campaign staffers shocked us with unexpected news that the campaign was pulling out of the Great Lakes State.
I remember my jaw dropped when I was asked on the air what I thought about us giving up on Michigan. I believe it was FOX News Campaign Carl Cameron who caught me like a Michigan deer in the headlights, asking me that question. The campaign had forgotten to give me the memo evidently.
I remember candidly responding something like, What? Were not going to Michigan? Why? Every vote counts! It was a rotten decision to bail on Michigan.

Unlike Team McCain who failed to heed Sarah's advice.
Sarah for Secretary of Energy!
Love to know if DJT had her on speed dial ( post the 2011 pizza meeting ) on how to deal w/ all the normal adversaries and where she saw opportunities.
I’d like to see that, with her first job to oversee the shut-down and dismantling of the Dept. of Energy. Then we’ll find the next job for her to do.
You should Never Ever give One Inch of Ground.
Team Trump understood that and is the reason why they sent Sarah to Michigan.
Looks like that paid off.
A lot of things to criticize Sarah about, but I have always believed she has some of the finest political instincts of any pol in the last half century. And I actually thought Trump’s decision to go big in Michigan and Pa. was a result of Palin’s influence.
“Street Cred.” She helped secure the Deer Hunter vote.
I would have loved to have heard him thank Palin, too, last night. He must have been emotional and forgotten.
We have property in the UP. Very conservative up there. Freedom loving people. Hope to retire there some day. Donald Trump is a natural fit for the state. Sarah understands this.
What a wonderful thing Trump did, yes? I remember the day she flew in to announce her endorsement of Trump. It was early in the nomination race, I had already become a Trump supporter and I was thrilled with what she did.
I hope she is appointed to his cabinet, or at least a very important and effective administration position.
Go Sarah!
Sarah is great.Way to go Michigan, way to go.
I remember in 2008 when Sarah Palin was upset about the McCain campaign giving up on Michigan.
I sure look forward to seeing her in a position within the new administration! She has worked hard and really deserves to be recognized!
That Sh-tbird McPain had no intention of winning. Had he even wanted to be the President he’d have at least tried.
Nicole Wallace must be having a fit.
Thank uouMI and Sarah!
