The story goes like this – Lutheran Social Services is working out of the love of Christ to bring Somali refugees to MN in order to help them escape extreme poverty. That may be true in some regards, but the money involved is difficult to ignore. For example, in an article last month, 89% of the money is coming from government grants used to pay high salaries. “That supposedly ‘Christian’ charitable organization is directly responsible for the high Somali numbers in St. Cloud, and they are jointly responsible for bringing over ten thousand Somalis from around the world to colonize...

If you were shocked by the images of the Mexican flag flying over an Aurora, Colorado, immigration detention center this weekend, you'll be appalled at an even more disgusting spectacle: One of the top promoters of the so-called Lights for Liberty nationwide protests by Trump-hating, ICE-bashing radicals was a nonprofit religious organization known as the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service. As a designated "host," LIRS played a key role in publicizing, organizing and participating in demonstrations against President Donald Trump's deportation enforcement actions targeting some 2,000 illegal immigrants and their families who have ignored removal orders or skipped out on...

Since the woke-ty woke Democrats are now gung-ho on undoing special treatment of wealthy liberal sex creeps, perhaps they will soon be revisiting the matter of two of their other “faves,” Oregon real estate mogul and deep-pocketed left-wing White House donor Terry Bean and West Hollywood Clinton pal Ed Buck. Here, let me help. Terry Bean is the prominent gay-rights activist who co-founded the influential Human Rights Campaign organization. He is also a veteran member of the board of the HRC Foundation, which disseminates Common Core-aligned “anti-bullying” material to children’s schools nationwide. Like Epstein, Bean had a penchant for rubbing...

HOME » FRESH INK Michelle Obama: Still whining about Trump’s inauguration GOPUSA StaffCheryl Chumley, Washington Times POSTED ON 7:40 AM JULY 9, 2019 61 Michelle Obama attends the 2019 Essence Festival at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Saturday, July 6, 2019, in New Orleans. (Photo by Donald Traill/Invision/AP) Michelle Obama, former first lady, finally dropped the big reveal on her thoughts during President Donald Trump’s inauguration — and guess what, they weren’t complimentary. No. Really. You don’t say. ‘Cause all those rollicking eye-rolling stone-faced looks during the ceremony didn’t give it away. “And then we had to meet the Trumps,” Obama...

FULL TITLE: Michelle Obama Claims People Dismiss Presidency After Barack: ‘If a Black Guy Can Do It, Anybody Can’ In a Saturday interview, former first lady Michelle Obama insisted that Americans now dismiss the U.S. presidency because a black man was recently in the office. Speaking to TV host Gayle King during the 2019 Essence Festival at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, Obama exclaimed that husband Barack made the presidency “look too easy,” Fox News reported. “I guess it’s kind of like if the black guy can do it, anybody can do it — and that’s not true. It’s a hard job,”...

Former First Lady Michelle Obama refused to defend Joe Biden as the former vice president is engulfed in controversy for his longstanding views on busing and his more recent praise of segregationists. On Saturday, Obama was asked at the Essence Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana, if she wanted to share her thoughts on the recent “dust up” between Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) at the first Democrat presidential debate last month. The former first lady pointedly refused to engage on the topic, simply saying “I do not.” Obama added that she was not new to “this rodeo” and...

Michelle Obama’s July 4th weekend message that the night before Trump’s inauguration in January 2017 was was ‘very emotional’ is self-centred Michelle Obama all the way. Michelle Obama’s July 4th weekend message to Americans: The night before Trump’s inauguration in January 2017 was was ‘very emotional’. Say what? A similar message was easily recognizable on President Donald Trump’s Inauguration Day when both Barack and Michelle Obama looked noticeably out of sorts and ill at ease.

Are you still looking for the one searing illuminated truth from the Democratic presidential debates? That moment telling America what voting Democratic will really mean in 2020? I’ve got it. But it wasn’t Kamala Harris (rhetorically) whipping Joe Biden. That’s what Democrats would rather focus on, because it’s easier than the inadvertently revealed truth that could doom their political chances. It did offer great drama: a tired old white guy reduced to babbling and a younger, smarter black woman putting him in his place and finishing off his political career. He’s toast. Even if Biden squeezes into one of her...

CHICAGO — It’s known here as The Exodus. People are leaving Illinois in droves. Republicans blame the state’s high taxes and its unfunded pension liability, which tops $130 billion. Democrats believe it’s the state’s lack of investment in education and infrastructure. One thing is certain: Illinois’ population has declined by 157,000 residents over the past five years, making it one of only two states — West Virginia is the other — to lose people over the past decade. Illinois’ predicament is a perfect storm of declining manufacturing, stagnant immigration, declining birth rates, young people leaving for college and never coming...

News that Chicago police charged Jussie Smollett with staging a brutal attack on himself was covered on every network and in every major newspaper, but Google is hiding searches of it from its platform due to concerns of "potentially disparaging" the liberal actor. A review of Google's autocomplete function on searches of Smollett found no references to anything regarding the hate crime, even though the company's own data show it is the only reason his name was ever searched. The top suggested searches for Smollett included Empire (a show he no longer has a role in), Mighty Ducks (a nearly...

A Chicago judge appointed a special prosecutor on Friday to investigate Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s handling of the investigation into Jussie Smollett’s alleged hoax hate crime. Judge Michael Toomin said that Foxx’s unorthodox decision to drop all charges against Smollett absent an admission of guilt was within her authority, but suggested that her decision to hand the case over to her top deputy was improper. The special prosecutor may end up bringing charges against Smollett in connection with the staged hate crime, Toomin said. Former state appellate judge Sheila O’Brien petitioned for the appointment of a special prosecutor...

Daniels opened up to Vulture -- in a new interview published Tuesday -- after he was asked about how Smollett alleged he'd been the victim of a hate crime, a claim Chicago cops later refuted, accusing the "Empire" actor of staging the entire episode to get a pay raise and to drum up publicity for his career. Smollett has maintained his innocence, strongly denying the accusations. . . . "I’m beyond embarrassed," the 59-year-old director and producer, who initially publicly supported Smollett, told the outlet. "I think that when it happened, I had a flash of me running from bullies....

“Jussie [Smollett] will NOT be returning to ‘Empire,'” series co-creator Lee Daniels said Tuesday. Daniels was responding to a Variety report in which multiple production sources said that “Empire’s” writing staff was breaking ideas for the show’s sixth and final season with the expectation that Smollett would appear in the back half of the 18-episode season. This is the first public acknowledgment that Smollett will not return for the final season of the Fox drama series. He was written out of the final episodes of the show’s fifth season following severe backlash stemming from accusations the actor and musician faked...

t least 42 people were shot, seven fatally, in Chicago over the Memorial Day weekend even as severe storms kept people indoors and 1,200 extra officers patrolled the streets. The toll was slightly higher than last year’s Memorial Day weekend, when 39 people were shot, seven of them fatally, according to shooting data kept by the Tribune. In 2017, 45 people were shot, seven of them killed. And in 2016, 71 people shot, six of them fatally, in one of the most violent Memorial Day weekends in recent years. “That is just an unacceptable state of affairs,” Mayor Lori Lightfoot...

Actor Jussie Smollett, who faked an anti-black, anti-gay hate crime against himself in the dead of the Chicago winter, and then escaped charges on likely political connections for filing a false police report, is starting to inspire copy cats looking for the same sweet deal. Here's one from New York from the New York Post: A Manhattan straphanger who claimed to have been attacked by two men yelling gay slurs was actually the one doing the attacking, according to police. Cops say the 25-year-old, who has not been identified, set upon the two men at the Chambers St. station in Tribeca...

The newly unsealed Jussie Smollett court files that were released late on Thursday reveal little of note from the Empire actor's case but show how the State's Attorney asked the Office of the Inspector General's to investigate her handling of it. The files were made public on Thursday by a judge who agreed with media lawyers that Smollett had no right to privacy because he had spoken openly about the case to defend himself. The Cook County court record was unsealed and contained 250 pages of previously unseen paperwork but nothing in it was of particular note. Among the document...
