Latino activists said they expect more large protests as Donald Trump moves his presidential campaign into California. Trump faced large and hostile demonstrations outside a rally Thursday night in Costa Mesa and at the Burlingame hotel where he delivered a speech to the California Republican Convention on Friday. “I think it’s going to get worse if he gets the nomination and is the front-runner. I think it’s going to escalate,” said Luis Serrano, an organizer with California Immigration Youth Justice Alliance. “We’re going to keep showing up and standing against the actions and the hate Donald Trump is creating. We...

A protest outside a campaign rally for Donald J. Trump in Costa Mesa, Calif., turned violent late Thursday night, as the crowd smashed a police car, the authorities closed nearby streets and officers arrested about 20 people. The unrest erupted outside an amphitheater where Mr. Trump, the favorite in the race for the Republican presidential nomination, was addressing several thousand supporters, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. There were no major injuries, and the Sheriff’s Department reported on Twitter that the protest was over and that the crowds had dispersed around 11 p.m., after officers on horseback pushed people...

Mexicans torched a Donald Trump effigy and cheered as the replica of the Republican presidential front runner exploded during its annual burning of the Judas festival on Saturday. The popular ritual in Mexico City, which takes place before Easter and symbolizes Jesus’s victory over evil, drew hundreds of spectators who chanted “Death!” as the 10-foot-tall Trump papier mache was ignited, the Washington Post reports. For Latinos here and in the U.S., he’s a danger, a real threat,” Leonardo Linares, an effigy-maker who presided over one of the many block parties across Mexico, told the newspaper. “He’s a good man to...

Just yesterday, I had a Mexican woman on the phone ask me if I knew Spanish. When I responded that I indeed did, and could I help her in (in fluent Spanish), she had the audacity and gall to ask me if I "...really knew Spanish." I told her in no uncertain terms in fluent Spanish that I spoke it like a native and did she want help or not. She calmed down. Such a thing is completely unprecedented. I have NEVER heard of or observed such behavior in a foreigner to a country confronting someone from that country and...

An illegal immigrant allegedly bound a 3-year-old girl with duct tape, stuffed her in a trash bag, put her in a closet of feces and then offered her up for sex from his Arizona apartment. Police found the abused child in the closet, malnourished and covered in bruises, scars and blisters, after a man who had gone to the apartment for sex tipped them off, reported a Fox affiliate. She was surrounded by feces. "When officers went in, all they saw was the top of the child's head in the trash bag," Mesa Police Chief John Meza told reporters Tuesday....

An E. coli epidemic in Seattle and Kansas City and 19 other states? TB in New York and Manassas, Virginia? Leprosy in New Hampshire? Dengue Fever in Laredo? What's going on here? If you think data about illegal alien crime is hidden from public, just try to find information on the contagious diseases brought across our borders by illegal aliens from nearly 100 countries. If we survey the anecdotal and sporadic official data of the past fifteen years, there is no doubt we are being invaded daily by dangerous diseases.

The United States with its glitter of wealth has long been a powerful lure for Mexicans, but for the first time since accurate record keeping began in the 1970s the net flow is headed back the other way. Mexicans are going home because of the lingering effects of the financial crisis in America, economic stability in Mexico and outright deportation. From 2009 to 2014, around one million Mexicans packed their bags to return home, while in the same period 870,000 made the trek to the north, according to a recent study by the Pew Research Center.

The three teens police believe killed a high school student in Loudoun County last month all entered the U.S. as illegal immigrant children, were released into society and skipped their deportation court hearings, a top senator revealed Tuesday as he demanded answers. “Had these suspects appeared for their mandatory court date, they would have likely not had the opportunity to murder a 17-year-old high school student from Loudoun County,” Sen. Charles E. Grassley, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said in a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson. The Iowa Republican said his committee has received information that the...

Forgive me if I don’t watch Faux News’ coverage of this visit by the very liberal leader of the Faithful, first to Communist Cuba, then on to D.C., Philly, NYC. Forgive me if I quit going to the Catholic church of my designation every Sunday. Forgive me if I got not one, but two divorces from Catholic men who, to say the least, abused me and my child every which way but loose. And they weren’t the meanest man who abused me, a man who happened to be Catholic. Forgive me. I say my prayers at home now, every Sunday....

The Washington Examiner has taken the, “Beep beep, move along folks, nothing to see here” approach to try to bring down Donald Trump. These latest Wile E. Coyotes have pronounced, “Trump is obsessed with an immigration crisis that’s already over.” The illegal aliens they are talking about are being supported to the tune of $200 billion a year by the few Americans who are still working but that is not a problem, the Washington Examiner assures us. The fact that Barack Obama has done so well in “fundamentally transforming America” into a third country has made life so intolerable here...

Grammy-winning producer Emilio Estefan is not happy with Donald Trump’s anti-Mexican rhetoric — and he’s gathering some friends to take a stand against it, according to Billboard.com. Billboard reports that Estefan, 62, has enlisted dozens of friends — including Shakira, Carlos Santana, Thalia, Pepe Aguilar and his wife, singer Gloria Estefan — record We’re All Mexican, which he describes as a musical “celebration of Hispanics and our accomplishments.” The track will also include reggaeton singer Wisin, Wyclef Jean, radio personality Enrique Santos and famed Spanish-American chef José Andrés, and will be released in late September. “There’s a message being sent...

Hectored by Latino illegal immigrants for using the term “anchor baby,” GOP presidential candidate former Florida governor Jeb Bush contended that he was referring to Asian immigrants. “China and India are the real threat,” Bush maintained. “There are over a billion of each of them. That’s enough to totally overwhelm the 300 million Americans living in this country. There are only 125 million Mexicans. Even if every one of them migrated to the United States we’d still outnumber them by a wide margin.” The candidate went on to outline what he called “a strong plan to interdict illegal Asian immigration...

Republicans, led by Donald Trump have made undocumented immigrants the central issue of their primary campaign. In reality, Trump’s rhetoric and policy proposals target one specific, ethnic group – Mexicans. David Duke and people who express their “passion” for America by chanting “white Power” are embracing these policies. They’re lapping up everything from his claims that Mexico sends the “bad” immigrants to Mexico will pay for a Trump Wall. No doubt, these are people share Trump’s view that making America “great again” entails preserving white dominance and with it, a future for the Republican Party. He wants to build a...
