A local Los Angeles meteorologist suddenly collapsed while on live TV in a terrifying moment on Saturday morning. Schwartz tried to steady herself but suddenly her eyes rolled to the back of her head. She slowly slumped forward until her head nearly hit the table. Her co-anchors, Nichelle Medina and Rachel Kim, initially don’t seem to notice. After a couple of seconds, Kim let out an...

A winter storm has been hammering the Northeast, while even states like Florida are experiencing much colder weather than normal. What’s going on? Meteorologist and weather forecaster Joe Bastardi of WeatherBell.com talked about weather patterns and this year’s unusually cold winter . His analysis is a stark contrast to climate change activists’ scare tactics. Listen to the clip (above) to hear him combat various arguments tying cold winter weather to global warming.

Bastardi's WagerA former National Weather Service meteorologist has a challenge for climate scientists. Joe Bastardi’s great love is atmospheric science. He says he’s been fascinated by it “since I was a baby. My dad’s a meteorologist, his great-grandfather was the town weatherman in Sicily, and my son wants to be a meteorologist.†And he’s disturbed by how the science, which he values for its own sake, has been infected with politics. According to Bastardi, the intelligentsia see new weather developments as an “incessant stream of confirmations†of global warming: “I just took out the New York Times from ten years...

Earlier this year on March 9, 2010 it snowed in the Southern Russian region of Stavropol. Normally I would not write an article about snow in Russia, but the snow that fell on that day, was not the kind of snow one envisions when dreaming of a white Christmas. No, the snow that fell to the ground that morning was actually purple instead of white. That's right purple snow. Now I am pretty sure most of you have heard of the song "Purple Rain" by the artist formerly known as Prince, but have any of you ever seen purple colored...

Watch the proposal and Perez's reaction here. Perez was a weather forecaster and observer in the Air Force before joining the Atlanta-based Weather Channel.

You often hear scientists who promote the theory of man-made global warming allege they are victims of censorship. But when it is the other way around – that scientists who dispute that claim are victims of the same thing, you never hear a peep. That’s what Stanley Goldenberg, a meteorologist with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory (AOML) Hurricane Research Division, told an audience at the The Heartland Institute’s 2009 International Conference on Climate Change (ICCC) in New York on March 9. Voices that counter global warming alarmism are often subject to censorship, he...

The hottest year since 1659 spells global doom By Roger Highfield, Science Editor Last Updated: 12:54am GMT 14/12/2006 Central England sweltered in temperatures that are likely to make this year the hottest since records began in 1659, according to a report published by meteorologists. The findings came as the Paris based Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development warned that climate change could devastate the ski resorts of Europe within a few decades. Worldwide, the provisional figures for 2006, using data from January to November, place the year as the sixth warmest in a global record that stretches back to 1850...

GREEN BAY, Wis. - A case of fowl weather really threw a local meteorologist for a loop. National Weather Service Meteorologist Tom Helman said at about sunrise Aug. 10 he saw a growing ring on the weather radar over the bay of Green Bay. "It kinda threw me for a loop. That was the morning President Bush was flying in, so I was thinking, what is that?" said Helman, who works in Ashwaubenon. Jeff Last, a warning coordination meteorologist for the weather service, said Monday he researched the ring and determined it was likely a "roost ring" - a formation...
