With a new movie about King Kong coming out, a whole segment on NPR was devoted to proving that the fictional King Kong monster is actually a commentary on black people. The show interviewed Robin Means Coleman, a professor of Afro-American studies at the University of Michigan who specializes in studying King Kong. Yes, you read that right: a professor of Afro-American studies whose specialty is ... King Kong. [Snip] This is ridiculous. Yes, in the past, some racists have compared blacks to monkeys. But that does not mean that all portrayals of monkeys are about black people. In...

We've always said that certain premium causes of the left (gay rights, abortion) were also meant to be taken as a middle finger to the church. Feminists in Portugal took that middle finger to the next level on "International Women's Day".

A gay veterans group said Wednesday it has been denied permission to march in this year’s Boston St. Patrick’s Day parade just two years after organizers made the groundbreaking decision to allow gay groups to participate for the first time. OutVets, which marched in Boston’s 2015 St. Patrick’s Day parade after decades of resistance from organizers, said on its Facebook page that the reason for the denial to this year’s parade is unclear, but “one can only assume it’s because we are LGBTQ.”

Trump, who has traded insults with O’Donnell for years, has denied having any connection to Russia. The FBI and the Senate Intelligence Committee are currently investigating Russia’s tampering in the 2016 election and the president’s campaign staff’s alleged contacts with Russian officials. Actress and left-wing activist Ashley Judd says the “tragedy” of Donald Trump’s election victory is far worse than an experience from her childhood in which she was raped. “It remains for me the worst thing that has ever happened to me in my lifetime,” Judd said of Trump’s successful election. “Raped as a child – bad. Re-raped by a political system that ordains a clown – really bad.” The Divergent star made the claim in a Huffington Post video titled, “Ashley Judd describes being triggered by Trump.” Sporting a so-called “Pussy Hat” popularized by feminist activists, Judd said the same...

Democrats continue to experience a near-crippling depression since President Donald Trump took office, forcing mental health professionals to name the problem post-election stress disorder, according to a Monday report from CNN. The news coming from the White House on a daily basis is so disconcerting to those who oppose Trump that they are experiencing classical signs of depression, and moving off of Facebook and other social media sites. “It’s been crippling,” Clinton voter Waly Pfingsten told CNN. “I feel angry, really, really angry, far more angry than I expected to be.” Pfingsten deleted his Facebook account, and tried to...

Transgender people will no longer be classified as “mentally ill” in Sweden, the country’s main national health authority has announced, in a decision widely criticized as overdue. Sweden’s National Board of Health and Welfare, or Socialstyrelsen, announced late on Friday that it would no longer automatically apply the diagnosis “gender dysphoria” to transgender patients. “…more than anything, this change has an important symbolic value,’ Kristina Bränd Persson, the organization’s head, said in a press release. “This is a completely reasonable change. Many divisions and categories are obsolete. For us, the decision is uncontroversial. We tend to follow the changes the...

This is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen on CNN — and that’s saying a lot. Wolf Blitzer broke out with a “developing story” about how if the inauguration is attacked and everyone died, the constitution actually says that an Obama cabinet member would legally become the president.

It is now almost impossible for Mrs Edgeworth to look at the pictures of Paige as a little girl without feeling tearful. Paige will soon be 21. But she has changed her name by deed poll to Hayden Cross and has been living legally as a man for the past three years after starting gender reassignment on the NHS, a process which has left Hayden with a deeper voice and facial hair. It has also bitterly divided his family and left him estranged from those who love him. Mrs Edgeworth told the Mail poignantly: ‘She’s asked me to call her...

Last semester was honestly the worst semester I’ve had at Penn so far. And all because of one thing: the white professors I’ve had at Penn. It appears that the term “privilege” does not apply to them. Nor do they care to learn what it is. Imagine being a black student on Penn’s campus with even one of these types of professors. I had three. And each one of those professors either did not care to learn about their white privilege, or lied to me and said that they did.

On Tuesday, the U.K.'s Daily Mail reported that 23-year-old Anna Teshu of Staten Island, New York, has gone missing. Teshu's 15 minutes of fame began in 2015 when she was featured on the internet because her boyfriend was walking her around on a leash in public. Her boyfriend said: "The collar is like a ring for most couples. They use rings, we have a collar." Teshu reportedly enjoyed spending time in a puppy cage, as well. She explained, "The first time I put on a collar I thought, 'Now I need to find someone for the other end.'" That same...

A man calling himself “One Hand Jason” cut his right arm off because he felt like he was really disabled. His hand was more or less a “birth defect,” according to body modification website ModBlog. Jason trained in first aid for months and eventually severed his arm with a power tool. He also allowed people to think it was an accident for years. If you think this is wrong in any way, you’re a bigot — at least if you follow trans-logic to its natural conclusions.

As we ponder the temper tantrums by current progressives and offer analyses of the driving force behind blatantly bad behavior, we might consider the studies by psychiatrist Lyle Rossiter, M.D. in his 2011 book, The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness. His website offers a synopsis of his clinical findings, which include: 1. The laws and moral codes--the rules--that properly govern human conduct arise from, and must be compatible with, the biological, psychological. and social nature of man. 2. The liberal agenda's Modern Parental State violates all of the rules that make ordered liberty possible. 3. The modern...
