McCainCare The dishonorable Senator from Arizona. September 25, 2017 Daniel Greenfield Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical left and Islamic terrorism. It’s official. Senator John McCain won’t vote for ObamaCare repeal. He won’t vote for any health care bill that isn’t “bipartisan.” And any bipartisan bill will be ObamaCare plus something even worse. If McCain won’t vote for a health care bill that isn’t bipartisan, he won’t vote for ObamaCare repeal. Period. That’s information that voters could have used when Senator McCain was running for reelection...

Multiple Hill staffers confirm last night McCain was heard laughing w Dems and remarked, "Lets see Donald make america great again now"

In the end, it was a simple hand gesture - Senator John McCain pointing his right index finger in a downward motion to register a no vote - that ruined his party's seven-year effort to repeal Obamacare. But in that signal in the early hours of Friday, the 80-year-old McCain also delivered a political gut-punch to U.S. President Donald Trump, a fellow Republican and a man he has clashed with repeatedly over the past two years. McCain denied Trump what could have been the first major legislative victory of his administration, and demonstrated to the businessman-turned-president that Washington works in...

"To my mind Judas Iscariot was nothing but a low, mean, premature Congressman." — Mark Twain This week, the Senate gave the public a fresh and powerful reason to view Twain as correct in his assessment. Whatever your views on ObamaCare, the simple fact is that the GOP Senate voted to repeal ObamaCare in December 2015, knowing full well that President Obama would veto the bill. That vote was conveniently timed to give Republican lawmakers the ability to go back to their states and proclaim that they had tried to repeal ObamaCare, but were thwarted by a Democratic president. "Elect...

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s bid to pass a stripped down repeal of Obamacare on a party-line vote failed dramatically in the early hours of Friday when Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., joined two other Republican holdouts and all the Democrats to vote against the measure.

Does anyone have information on the process of recalling Senators in the states of Maine, Arizona and Alaska? How can McConnell justify remaining Majority Leader after such an epic fail? Share your thoughts.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said "it is time to move on" in a floor speech early Friday after the stunning defeat of the GOP's scaled-down plan to repeal key parts of ObamaCare. McConnell seemed close to choking up during brief remarks on the floor after falling short of his promise to repeal ObamaCare after three GOP senators voted against the "skinny" repeal bill. McConnell called GOP efforts to repeal ObamaCare "the right thing for the country," despite their final efforts to push for repeal being unsuccessful.

Sorry if there is a thread; I didn't see it. McCain, Collins, and Murkowski voted No. Republicans spent 7 years promising this, and they couldn't get it done. The Republicans don't like Trump all that much, but he is willing to fulfill their promise that they made. Meanwhile, McCain, the GOP hero, helped kill their promise.

U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ) released the following statement today on voting “no” on the so-called “skinny repeal” of Obamacare: “From the beginning, I have believed that Obamacare should be repealed and replaced with a solution that increases competition, lowers costs, and improves care for the American people. The so-called ‘skinny repeal’ amendment the Senate voted on today would not accomplish those goals. While the amendment would have repealed some of Obamacare’s most burdensome regulations, it offered no replacement to actually reform our health care system and deliver affordable, quality health care to our citizens. The Speaker's statement that the...

McCain headed for the stage — the Senate floor — around midnight, emerging from his office in the Russell Senate Office Building for the subway ride to the U.S. Capitol. When he arrived, he held a brief conversation with Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer ( D-N.Y.), an exchange that left the New Yorker smiling. ---- As the first vote began, McCain took his seat next to Graham, his closest friend in the Senate. The South Carolinian mostly nodded as McCain gesticulated, and signaled — through his body language — that he was likely to vote no. When Murkowski walked...

Sen. From the News Media John McCain sent what may have been a final “f you” to the American people in the wee hours of the morning, joining quasi-Democrat Susan Collins and the flip-flopping Lisa Murkowski as the 3 GOP votes needed to kill the final effort to get an Obamacare reform bill passed out of the senate. A few minutes prior to casting his vote, Sen. McCain was seen yukking it up with Chuck Schumer on the Senate floor. No doubt they were sharing memories of all the previous times they had joined hands in efforts to screw the...

Paul Ryan couldn’t persuade him. Neither could Mike Pence. And in the end, President Donald Trump couldn’t reel in John McCain either. The president made a last-ditch effort, calling the Arizona senator and key holdout on the GOP’s Obamacare repeal measure, as the bill’s fate hung in the balance, according to two sources familiar with the conversation. After Pence had spent about 20 minutes working McCain, the senator went off the floor to speak with Trump by phone, those sources said.

At 1:45am on July 28th 2017, Republican Senator John McCain together with Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins voted against the ObamaCare repeal in the Senate; ensuring the failing ObamaCare health care takeover and economic drag continues. This should not come as a surprise. McCain has a legacy of voting against the American people to the benefit of his corrupt legislative corporate handlers. Yet, the vote was still blood-boiling in ramification and consequence. Additionally, it should be noted for an accurate record that Nevada Republican Senator Dean Heller delayed his own roll call vote, skipped his name when called, until he...

A couple distraught over health care costs jumped to their deaths in Murray Hill early Friday — leaving suicide notes pleading for their children to be cared for, a law enforcement source told The Post. The bodies of the man and woman, both in their 50s, were found on 33rd Street between Park and Madison avenues.

The time for universal health insurance coverage has come. Everybody seems to know that -- except for the Republicans, all too many of whom cling to traditional denunciations of universal coverage as socialism... The Republicans could instead offer a consumer-controlled universal coverage system, like that in Switzerland, in which the people, not the government, control how much they spend on health. There are no government health insurance programs. Instead, the Swiss choose from about 85 private heath insurers... This consumer-driven, universal coverage system provides excellent health care for the sick, tops the world in consumer satisfaction, and costs 40 percent...
