Minneapolis, MN – Raymond Dehn, candidate for Minneapolis mayor, is proposing police officers leave their guns in their cars, but says it’s okay for them to have nightsticks or pepper spray. Raymond Dehn, who is also a State Representative, is running against current mayor Betsy Hodges in this fall’s election, according to Fox9. He said, “Officers don’t need to carry guns on their person all the time…I’m not saying they don’t have access to that, just like they have access to more lethal weapons in their cars, I would believe they would still have access to their guns in their...

State Representative and Minneapolis mayoral candidate Raymond Dehn is calling for major policing changes, proposing to take away guns from the majority of officers. Dehn is one of several candidates running to beat current Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges in the fall. Fox9 reports that he recently won the support of voters at the Democratic Farmer Labor convention and now his call to disarm police of their side guns is garnering major attention. Dehn believes that officers should leave guns in their cars and only access them when needed. But not to worry, Dehn would be open to officers using...

Cops once again turned their backs on Mayor de Blasio at a police funeral. Scores of officers who assembled for assassinated police officer Miosotis Familia on Tuesday showed Hizzoner their backs during the mayor’s eulogy — a move reminiscent of the funeral for slain officer Wenjian Liu in 2015. --SNIP-- The protest comes after de Blasio skipped town for Germany Thursday — the day after Familia was assassinated by cop-hating gunman Alexander Bonds.

Remember when New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio hopped on a jet and took off to Germany right when the city was in mourning over the assassination of yet another police officer? To say that this was a political misstep is the definition of an understatement, but the fallout of that stunt isn’t quite over yet. Some people are raising the awkward question of precisely who paid for that little public relations disaster. As you could probably have guessed without my telling you, it was the taxpayers of New York City. But fear not, citizens! The New York City...

Mayor de Blasio made a surprise departure from New York City yesterday—just one day after the assassination of NYPD officer Miosotis Familia while she guarded a violence-plagued Bronx corner—in order to attend anti-capitalist protests in Hamburg, site of the G-20 summit. A few hours after de Blasio’s plane departed, a train derailed in Penn Station, where extensive track work is scheduled to begin this weekend. It was the third derailment at Penn since March; the incidents have become so commonplace that New Jersey Transit commuters reportedly showed little surprise when their train car slid off the track. The mayor has...

Hillary Clinton’s solution to combat terrorism? “Understand” those different from us, apparently including terrorists, right down to the foods they eat. While speaking Monday at a Baltimore fundraiser for a youth program that sends students to Israel, Clinton lashed out at President Trump and his response to the latest London terrorist attack. “This is a time for us to reach out to the world,” Clinton said, “to understand more about what is happening. Not just in our own country but indeed across the globe. “It’s a time for steady, determined leadership, like we are seeing from local authorities in London,...

In 2016, Prime Minister David Cameron was widely criticized in the UK when he claimed that London mayor Sadiq Khan had ties to the terror group ISIS. An investigation by Disobedient Media has determined that Khan has ties not just to organizations associated with ISIS, but also groups such as Hamas, Al-Nusra, Al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood. During his time as mayor, London has seen an increase in terror incidents with concerning indications that terror groups wish to stage a major attack on the City of London. Rather than focusing on combatting terror, Khan has used his forum to tell...

Portland, Oregon Mayor Ted Wheeler, a Democrat, has acted to suspend the First Amendment rights of Trump supporters and those opposed to Islamic sharia law by banning demonstrations planned for Portland in the coming weeks, following the killings of two men (and the wounding of a third man) who intervened against a man harassing a Muslim woman and her friend on public transportation. Wheeler is also demanding the federal government do the same and revoke or not issue demonstration permits for the rallies which are set to be held on federal property in Portland.

Democrats again fell just short in a closely-watched election as Heath Mello lost the Omaha mayoral race on Tuesday after a fierce debate within the national party over his anti-abortion views. His loss was a setback for supporters who argued that the Democratic National Committee and abortion rights groups were wrong to attack the anti-abortion former state senator. It was also another near miss for Democrats fighting in typically Republican territory since Donald Trump’s presidential election victory. Democrats lost a special election for a House seat in Kansas and narrowly missed an outright win in a special election in Georgia....

“Five-term incumbent Mayor Chris Louras of Rutland, Vermont was defeated this Town Meeting Day. He lost to Alderman Dave Allaire by a margin of 52 percent to 34 percent. Allaire swept all four wards,” WCAX reported Tuesday night. “Louras had beaten Allaire in two previous mayoral elections,” Seven Days Vermont reported. It was not even close on Tuesday, as Louras (pictured) was crushed in a humiliating defeat that was as much a rejection of his personal character as it was of his pro-refugee policies. Louras made headlines last year when it was reported that, beginning in 2015, he secretively attempted...
