  • The Rapture That Wasn’t (Actually the Left has made more doomsday predictions)

It appears that The Rapture leading to the end of the world predicted by a Christian radio broadcaster for this past Saturday, May 21, did not take place. And the failure was covered worldwide. A Google search on Saturday evening yielded over 32,000 articles — in English alone — in the world media. The secular, especially the anti-religious, Left enjoys these spectacles of religious foolishness. They seem to confirm not only how absurd these end-of-days predictions are, but how absurd religion is in general. But the Left should not laugh too loudly. The religious world has far fewer doomsday predictions...

HAROLD CAMPING SITE The earthquake is scheduled to begin in Australia later tonight and the destruction and devastation roll through the timezones. It's been nice knowing all of you. I guess the only good news is that it will be the end of the Obama Administration. And the Clintons, Arnold, the Palestinians, Villaraigosa, Nancy Pelosi, NOW, and Planned Parenthood. And Charlie Sheen and the rest of Hollywood.

It's the end of the world as we know it. Apparently. Harold Camping, the man behind the May 21, 2011, judgement day "campaign" is thoroughly convinced that the day marks the beginning of the end. Then again, he did get it wrong once before. Their "Undeniable" Proof- (the Caravan reads "The Bible Guarantees It") By Emily CheeverI’m not going to lie to you guys but doing this research was less fun and more confusing.  Confusing because most of the infallible proof that they had revolved around numbers.  Numbers, it seems to me, that were just made up to prove fact. ...
  • Your Local Time When Kiritimati reaches 6 pm - "when the world is to end"

Family Radio says the rapture will start at 6 pm local time. Kiritimati is 16 hours ahead of UTC which gives the rest of the world plenty of time (and the U.S. by midnight Friday into Saturday) to figure out if this supposed rapture is to take place. Check out what time it will be at your home when Kiritimati reaches 6 pm.
  • Voices of pros and cons over "the end of the world is May 21"

Christian radio host Harold Camping made a 2011 end times prediction that the Rapture will take place on May 21 this year and that the end of the world will take place five months later on October 21. However, will the May 21 be another September 4 or September 6, 1994? Camping, president of the Family Radio Christian network, has presented several arguments, or biblical "proofs", in favor of the May 21st end time, and claimed the Bible as his source saying May 21 will be the day of Rapture and judgment "beyond the shadow of a doubt". Meanwhile, his...
  • Harold Camping's May 21st Date Setting - Is Date Setting Biblical?

    05/18/2011 2:45:55 PM PDT · by The Ignorant Fisherman · 49 replies
Billboards like this one have been placed throughout the nation. Harold Camping, 89 year old nationally known radio host (Family Radio) has predicted the exact date of the Lord’s return: May 21, 2011. He teaches that the rapture will take place on this day which he also refers to as "judgment day." He also teaches that the end of the world will occur five months later, on October 21, 2011. On the billboard, the claim is made that the Bible guarantees this presumptuous prediction. "The Lord warned against foolish date-setting when He taught that no one knows the day or...
  • FIRST-PERSON: May 21 wouldn't be the first false prediction

NEW ORLEANS (BP)--I predict that Harold Camping, the elderly radio talk show host now predicting Judgment Day on May 21, 2011, and the end of the world October 21, 2011, will adjust his predictions to future dates after doing further calculations on May 22, 2011. I believe my prediction will most certainly take place because "no one knows the day or the hour," according to Jesus. Since Camping is working from the genealogies in Genesis 5 and 11 and the account of Noah's great flood, I assume he can and will come up with calculations to support new dates for...

CBS Outdoor and Clear Channel are cashing in on the disturbing end-of-the-world ad campaign in the Bay State as dozens of expensive local billboards are plastered with a doom and gloom “Judgment Day” May 21 message. Michael Garcia, who is heading the billboard blitz for Family Radio, a California-based Christian network, said the ads are emblazoned on 50 Clear Channel properties in the Boston market and on another half-dozen CBS Outdoor-owned billboards. Between 1,200 and 1,500 of the ominous billboards are strewn around the country, mostly on CBS-owned properties, according to Family Radio. One industry insider estimates the national billboard...

The CONCLUSION on CAMPING and his 2011 PREDICTION “we have not followed cunningly devised fables” (2Pt. 1:16) THE BIBLE GUARANTEES you do not need to heed a false prophet:"But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die [by stoning in the O.T.). And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the...
  • Doomsday campers travel the country preaching the Apocalypse...on May 21

Most people like to push thoughts about the end of the world to the back of their minds, hoping that the apocalypse, if it ever comes, will be a long way off. But for one group of not-so happy campers, doomsday is a lot sooner...May 21 to be precise. According to the predictions of the Family Radio ministry, on that date a massive earthquake will shake the world apart, littering the ground with 'many dead bodies'. I think this is Harold Camping's group again ...
