The tragedy today at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is all the more disappointing because just this last year legislators tried to change Florida’s ban on concealed carry at airports to avoid today’s type of event. A gun attack in Malmo has left 'multiple injuries' as police seal off an area in the south of the Swedish city. The shooting occurred just before 7pm local time this evening and police have an ongoing operation in the area. A witness to the incident said there were around twenty shots fired by people in an Audi which then drove off at high speed.

Police are on the scene of a downtown Austin shooting that’s left at least one person dead. According to Austin-Travis County EMS, multiple units are responding to the area of 208 East 6th St. Paramedics say there are several gunshot wound patients spread across the area and they are trying to locate all patients. The wife of the attacker is among those killed in the shooting rampage and authorities believe jealousy to be the motive. A gunman has shot five people dead and injured at least another 20 in a cafe in Serbia, police have said. Among those killed was the wife of the attacker. As Orlando continues to reel a week after the worst mass shooting in US history consumed the city in tragedy, one Chicago man is traveling thousands of miles to deliver comfort. Greg Zanis, 65, drove 1,200 miles from his home to the Orlando Regional Medical Center to deliver 49 wooden crosses he made by hand. Police are responding to multiple scenes near the Pike and Adams county line where at least seven people are dead. Law enforcement sources tell NBC4 there are a total of three scenes near Piketon, Ohio along Union Hill Road. Those same sources confirmed seven bodies at those multiple locations.

A Mexican man accused of killing five people in the Midwest this week was a convicted felon living in the U.S. illegally, and he had not been deported despite being arrested at least twice in recent years, federal officials said. Another legally armed person has stopped a potential mass shooting in Hamilton, Alabama on February 10th, 2016.  The shooting occurred in the morning, a little over an hour before noon, over a distance of a couple of  blocks.  Two people, 67-year-old Donny Miller and 61-year-old Linda Cole were killed in separate offices.  The second victim was shot in an accounting office close to the bank pictured above.  A WVTM13 crew was on the scene less than two hours after the shooting.  Here is video from Marlei Marinez, from WVTM13.
