The Chamber of Commerce has a fascinating post up at its Chamberpost blog recounting a series of e-mails between its own blogger Brad Peck and Markos Moulitsas, founder of Daily Kos, the popular left-wing site. It began when Kos claimed in an April 30 post on his site that the Chamber was funding, via a group called Americans for Job Security, an ad attacking Arkansas Senate Democratic primary candidate Bill Halter, whom Kos is supporting. Peck e-mailed Kos to inform him that he was incorrect. The Chamber was in no way connected to

"... Now, of course, there was a lot of irregularities about that pregnancy that still are pretty much unexplained. I don’t think they’re explained by the original theory. But there’s some weird stuff. I mean, you don’t have your water break and then you wait ten hours to go the hospital. Because you give a speech and you go on a commercial flight to Seattle, and sit around, and take a commercial flight to Anchorage, and take a one hour drive to your hometown, and then have a baby when your water breaks. Especially a special needs child. Like...

We spent Saturday at the Ice Grottos. After a week in Aspen, we're finally acclimated to breathing at 8,000+ feet, so this was a glorious day, the best so far --- we read for hours on the shore of a mountain stream as our daughter played with dolls in the sand. So it wasn't until after dinner that I logged on and saw the David Brooks column that makes Markos Moulitsas Zúniga, proprietor of DailyKos.com, look as smarmy as Karl Rove. My wife, Karen Collins, is a devoted Kossack and a frequent poster on the site's message boards, so I...

SAN ANTONIO--More than one political venture has met an unseemly end in the hardscrabble landscape of South Texas. It was here, in 1948, that Box 13 gave Lyndon Johnson a dubious 87-vote primary victory, crushing former Gov. Coke Stevenson's Senate aspirations. It was here, two years ago, that a bitter primary fight for a House seat shattered a friendship between two Hispanic Democrats. And it was here, this month, in a rematch of that contest, that a blogger-led quest to defeat a mainstream Democrat and drive the party further to the left smashed head-on into the realities of local politics....

[Action!] Congressional Candidates for Terrorism. Congressional candidates are advertising on a website that has expressed support for the murder of Americans! Many of you already know that the Daily Kos, a liberal blogger named Markos Zuniga who has around 100,000 daily readers, recently endorsed the murder of American contractors in Iraq. In response to the murder of four Americans and the mutilation of their bodies by terrorists in Fallujah, Iraq, Markos Zuniga refused to condemn the action, then later expressed support for their murders. In case you haven't seen it, here is Markos' original post: Every death should be on...
