With every news alert or breaking story, our world seems to be pushed further and further into crisis. It is taking a serious toll on our environment but also on our mental health. [snip] With the surge of technology, social media and a 24-hour news cycle, exposure to traumatic events has rapidly increased over the past few decades, as well. According to a survey conducted by Pew in 2015, "65% of adults now use social networking sites -- a nearly tenfold jump in the past decade." Much of the public's news consumption occurs on these digital platforms. The world has...

What happens when a country’s super-secret spy agencies are filled with liars, dirty tricksters and #Resisters? They will trip over their own stories, lose key “conversations,” misplace or otherwise refuse to divulge important documents.Ultimately they will reveal themselves for the nefarious, lying weasels they are. The only question is will the MSM report it?Not if they have anything to say about it. As inconvenient facts gurgle to the surface… the MSM is busily ignoring them as they calculate how best to shift the narrative from “collusion” to “coverup” in delirious hope that somebody embedded in the Deep State’s war on...

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s team has questioned several witnesses about millions of dollars in donations to President Donald Trump’s inauguration committee last year, including questions about donors with connections to Russia, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, sources with direct knowledge told ABC News. Those interviewed included longtime Trump friend and confidant Thomas Barrack, who oversaw the fundraising effort, as well as individuals familiar with the massive inaugural fund, according to sources with direct knowledge.

“We keep talking about the so call ‘White Helmets’ in the west as heroes, when the people of Aleppo didn’t even know them by this name. They told me those people in the pictures I showed them were DAESH.” “Good Morning to all the official members and attendees of this conference. My name is Carla Ortiz and I am a film maker. It is an honor to be in your presence and have few minutes to share my testimony. We all know of the horrific stories and war in Syria, But YET we have THE CHOICE TO TURN THE NEWS...

We are living through an era when the Western democracies are generally reassessing a great deal of assumed conventional liberal wisdom, and have been conducted in this direction by political leadership that is often disparaged in our mainstream media as disreputable rabble-rousing. The most remarkable aspect of it is no longer that there have been sharp populist turns in the American, British, German, Italian, French, Hungarian, Polish, Czech, Austrian and other electorates (including, nascently, Brazil on the right and Mexico on the left). The larger issue in the United States and the leading western European countries is that the media...

The nation’s intelligence chiefs had just finished briefing Donald Trump on Russia’s interference in the 2016 election when FBI Director James B. Comey stayed behind to discuss some especially sensitive material: a “widely circulated” intelligence dossier containing unconfirmed allegations that Russians had filmed Trump interacting with prostitutes in Moscow in 2013. The president-elect quickly interrupted the FBI director. According to Comey’s account in a new memoir, Trump “strongly denied the allegations, asking — rhetorically, I assumed — whether he seemed like a guy who needed the service of prostitutes. He then began discussing cases where women had accused him of...

According to a new Monmouth University poll, 77 percent of Americans believe that traditional TV and print news outlets report "fake news." 31 percent said outlets report fake news "regularly," while 46 percent said they do so "occasionally." [Snip] The poll also found that Americans are more likely to trust Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN than they are President Donald Trump.

The supposedly conservative Times of London (owned by Rupert Murdoch) has published a rather long article about the Stormy Daniels controversy. Although you'd expect a conservative newspaper to be critical of both Donald Trump and the (former) porn actress, nothing could be further from the truth. The Times clearly has a favorite in this match. And it's not the U.S. president. In the article, one Daniels-admirer after another is quoted. We are told that she's extremely intelligent, clever, and smart. Feisty. She has as thick a skin as anyone. Oh yeah, Stormy Daniels is one tough lady. '“She is basically...

CNN launched yet another “Facts First” promo, this time reminding President Donald Trump about the collective power of apples. “This is an apple,” CNN’s latest promo begins. “And, this is an apple.” “And this is an apple.” “And when you put them all together, you’ve got a case.” CNN’s latest promo – the network seems to be picking up the pace — comes as news outlets report special counsel Robert Mueller appears to be building a case that President Donald Trump’s interference with the investigation into Russian election meddling constitutes obstruction of justice. One day earlier, CNN, among many other...

The raw emotions generated by immigration policy—provoked by heartrending stories of families torn apart by deportation, or citizens murdered by illegal immigrants—have scrambled political allegiances and confused public debate. Republicans, usually the champions of family values and small government, now want to restrict family reunification and give bureaucrats the power to screen people who want to enter the country. Democrats, traditionally the allies of the working class, want big business to select immigrants and have given scant attention to the legitimate interests of working-class natives. The only way to end this politically charged debate is to think carefully about benefits...

The Chicago-based owner of the Los Angeles Times is expected to announce it is selling the newspaper, according to people familiar with the company’s plans, in a surprise move that probably spells the end of its long-troubled relationship with Southern California’s leading news outlet. [Snip] The past few months have been particularly chaotic at the Times, with rapid turnover in the paper’s top ranks and a major clash between management and journalists over a proposal to have more non-staffers contributing more news content. [Snip] The paper’s future has been clouded since Tribune Co. filed for bankruptcy court protection in 2008....

The Left is crying out, “lies, lies, the Memo is filled with lies!” Let’s go back and prove to the Left that their cohorts in the Mainstream Media helped to back up the Memo. I want to thank Tracy Beanz for her thorough video, which led me to do this report. We will start with the following https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-russia-dossier/ex-british-spy-paid-168000-for-trump-dossier-u-s-firm-discloses-idUSKBN1D15XH?utm_campaign=trueAnthem:+Trending+Content&utm_content=59fa777204d30146d37b79bc&utm_medium=trueAnthe Ex-British spy paid $168,000 for Trump dossier, US firm discloses. Today, in lieu of a normal column, would you mind if we just set a few things straight? There are issues in which a combination of forces – from conscious choices by politicians and academics to sheer ignorance by reporters and vocal but confused stars in the popular culture – have combined to cause complete misunderstandings across the country, and even across the world. In his great speech endorsing Senator Goldwater in 1964, “A Time for Choosing,” (commonly known simply as The Speech), President Ronald Reagan first made a statement that has long resonated with those of us who watch...

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders isn't a big fan of the media. Which is, of course, her right. The relationship between any White House and any press corps tasked with covering that White House is almost always fraught and fractious. But, on Monday, Sanders made an accusation that went way, way beyond the pale of the usual give and take between White House and press corps. Here's what she said: "There's a very big difference between making honest mistakes and purposefully misleading the American people. Something that happens regularly. You can't say -- I'm not done. You can't say...

Well, journalists had another stellar week of buying petards from Acme, setting the explosives off, and hoisting themselves high above the ground. The first ten days of December have seen: ABC News's Brian Ross lie about General Flynn's plea bargain. Reuters and Bloomberg News report on an imaginary subpoena of Trump's records at a German bank. CNN lie about Donald Trump Junior being tipped off about a WikiLeaks. David Weigel of the Washington Post lie about the size of the crowd at a Trump rally. Liars all of them. [Snip] Credibility is all the press has. The power of the...

It has been formally announced this 27th day of November in the year 2017 that a British royal - Prince Henry of Wales (known to drinking buddies as Prince Harry) - is marrying an American divorcée. The last time this happened - in 1936 when King Edward VIII decided to wed American socialite Wallis Simpson — it triggered a crisis inside Windsor Castle. For one thing, Simpson was about to divorce for the second time. Also, she was from Baltimore.

President Donald Trump praised Fox News while criticizing CNN in a tweet that brought forth a rebuke from CNN and a claim by a New York Times reporter that Trump has 'declared Fox News state TV.' Trump wrote Saturday evening, ".@FoxNews is MUCH more important in the United States than CNN, but outside of the U.S., CNN International is still a major source of (Fake) news, and they represent our Nation to the WORLD very poorly. The outside world does not see the truth from them!"
