A vacant lot owned by a Jackson woman was foreclosed by Hillsdale County because she failed to pay a $7 late fee on her property taxes. A Freedom of Information Act request found that Pam Baker, a Jackson resident, owed Hillsdale County $7.70 in interest and late fees for delinquent taxes from 2013 on land she owned near Lake LeAnn in Somerset Township. The 2013 taxes on the property, which she owned since 2000, were due on Feb. 14, 2014. Baker says she paid her taxes two weeks late because she was in a car crash seven days before the...
  • Texas drillers may start hiring soon, as long as prices hold up

HOUSTON – Rising crude prices could spur hiring across the Texas oil patch by August, a regional economist says, beginning a slow but steady reversal in the state’s energy employment after struggling drillers shed 1 in 3 jobs. Over the past two months, a dozen U.S. oil companies — including Devon Energy and Pioneer Natural Resources — have announced plans to plow an extra $600 million into their shale fields in Texas and elsewhere as crude prices hover near $50 a barrel. Several have dispatched new rigs and received drilling permits. Next, they’ll start hiring new people – unless, of...

  • MN:Discount Gas for Gun Carriers

Another business discovers the advantages of welcoming the gun culture and supporting the Constitution.  In Minnesota, a gas station has found a way to disuade robbers by welcoming people with guns. From kstp.com: After getting robbed twice over the last three months, the owner of a Shell gas station in Sauk Rapids wanted to get more customers during the evening, hoping it would improve safety. Last week, station owner Frank Schwagel offered a 10-cent-per-gallon discount for law enforcement or people with proof of permit to carry after 7 p.m. each day. Much research has shown, over and over again,...

  • Idaho:Muslim Migrants RAPE 5-year-old, hold KNIFE to her throat, strip her naked, rape, and urinate

And so it begins. This is rampant in Europe and will be here, too, if Obama continues to import hundreds of thousands of these invaders. Why would they behave differently here? In Muslim countries, rape victims are at fault. The Quran allows Muslim men to use non-Muslim women as sex slaves, “captives of the right hand,” 4:3, 4:24, 23:1-6, 33:50, 70:30). But the even greater irresponsibility is that of the establishment that made people in Idaho think there was no risk in being around these migrants. • Orlando Shooting Aftermath: Singing Songs, Holding Hands, Demonstrating Impotence

I can certainly understand the sentiment and wanting to stand for the victims and their families, but candle-light vigils, impromptu memorials, holding hands, singing songs -- and calling for the unilateral disarmament of law-abiding citizens -- only makes those who wish to replace our way of life with their backward savagery drool for more of our blood. That is particularly so if these expressions are not accompanied by a candid understanding of what motivates them to want to slaughter us wholesale -- and it is not real or imagined grievances that we committed against them. Their actual "grievance" is that...

(Full title too long: Muslim Terrorist In Ohio Takes Apartment Complex Hostage, And Then Opens Fire On American Police Officer.) A Muslim terrorist in Ohio, Mohammad Laghaoui, took hostages in an apartment complex and then opened fire with an AK-47 on an officer once she arrived on the scene. The hostages were Mohammad’s father and brother. Mohammad threatened to murder his father and brother. His brother dialed 911 and Mohammad punched his father in the face and left, only to return with an AK-47. His father and brother locked Mohamamd out. He opened fire through the door and shot his...
  • Could the first Maltese have been Neanderthals?

    The Times of Malta ^ | June 19, 2016 | Ivan Martin
Maltese prehistory may have just been extended by 30,000 years. The verdict of experts from the London Natural History Museum has revived the theory that a tooth discovered in Għar Dalam in 1917 may prove Neanderthals once roamed the island. The claim is not new. It was made in the 1920s by two British anthropologists, but four decades later the theory no longer had credence. “Anyone who wrote a history book from 1964 till today will say there were never any Neanderthals on Malta. According to them, the first people to come here were Sicilian farmers around 7,000 years ago,”...

In the wake of violence waged against supporters of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump at past rallies, two biker groups will be on hand at Saturday’s Trump rally in Phoenix to allow citizens to exercise their rights in peace. “We’re going to stand between them and any protesters that come onto the property and hopefully protect them from any bodily harm, should it get to that point,” said Cindy Perrin of Lions Guard Arizona. She said the group is made up of veterans, retired police officers and others. They were joined by Riders USA, said Kirtis Baxter, president of the...

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. — First came the grimaces — the disbelieving eyes trained upon his shirt, his signs, his car window stickers broadcasting a local betrayal. Then his teenage son refused to drive the family car without redecorating, hiding the three “Make America Great Again” hats that usually sit atop the dashboard. And there are deeper indignities still — more piercing than any parking lot glowering or dinner table slight — when John Nadler feels the full weight of his status as America’s loneliest supporter of Donald J. Trump: Acquaintances in the hometown Mr. Nadler has known for nearly three decades...

Michael Voris, the ceo of St Michael's Media and Church Militant TV and host of the popular internet show the Vortex (where lies and falsehoods are sucked up trapped and exposed) has recently come out about his past before he returned to the Catholic faith after leading what he claimed was a sinful and bad life. Michael Voris revealed recently the full blown truth about it. Michael it turns out was gay. According to Voris, he despised his past so much that he did not ever mention what happened. That was until the Archdiocese of New York which had allowed...

Newly obtained information from the Orlando nightclub shooter's school and work records show he caused trouble at an early age and, as an adult, became a proficient marksman with consistently high scores in tests. As far back as 1992, when he was in elementary school, teachers described Omar Mateen as a “disruptive influence” or “classroom disruption” and cited him for “repeat misconduct,” using profanity and even striking another student, according to St. Lucie County school records obtained by ABC News. He had two marks on the records during the 1992-1993 school year. Between 1996 and 1998, when Mateen was in...

    United Press International ^ | June 13, 2016 | Daniel J. Graeber
BISMARCK, N.D., June 13 (UPI) -- With a gain of three, the number of rigs actively exploring for or producing oil and natural gas in North Dakota is up 12 percent from last week, data show. Data from North Dakota's government show 28 rigs in active service as of Monday, up from the 25 reported one week ago. Rig counts serve as a barometer for the health of the oil and gas industry as oil prices in part determine how much companies are investing in exploration and production. Though at times above the $50 mark in recent sessions, last week...

Central Florida Muslims gave their blood. They gave their money. And they resolved to stand united in mourning with members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community shaken by Sunday's mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando. WASHINGTON -- President Obama lashed out at those criticizing him for not using the term "radical Islam," particularly "politicians who tweet," as "yapping" but doing nothing to solve the problem of terrorism. Obama met with his National Security Council in the Diplomatic Room at the Treasury Department this morning, ......... "For a while now, the main contribution of some of my friends on the other side of the aisle have made in the fight against ISIL is to criticize the administration and me for not using the phrase 'radical Islam.' That's the key, they tell us. We cannot beat ISIL...

A lifetime hunting ban, jail time and thousands of dollars in penalties are the price a Nampa man must pay for last year’s poaching of a trophy bighorn sheep along Idaho’s Main Salmon River. Appearing in Idaho County Court on June 6, Paul Cortez (53) of Nampa stood silent as District Court Judge Gregory FitzMaurice handed down the poaching sentence. In addition to a lifetime hunting license revocation, Cortez received 30 days in jail, a $10,000 civil penalty, fines/court costs totaling $753 and four years of probation. On November 6, 2015 while on routine jet boat patrol along the famous...

From Campus Reform: A Students for Trump event at Portland State University was greeted with hostility Saturday when campus police officers tried to kick Trump’s supporters to the curb while protesters reacted hysterically to chants of “USA! USA!” Students for Trump began the event by erecting a wall on campus but campus security attempted to force the students to leave on the grounds that the wall was a “structure” rather than a “sign,” and thus violated university policies. However, the students were ultimately allowed to remain on campus but were harshly ridiculed by their peers, who called them “pathetic,” “idiot,”...
