In a huge setback for LGBT activists, this week, the high court of Singapore upheld the country’s ban on anal and oral sex between men. Centene Corp. announced an eight-plus acre site in Ferguson, Missouri, located at 2900 Pershall Road, as the location of its new claims processing facility. The expansion will create up to 200 jobs. The facility will process claims from Centene's Missouri-based Home State Health Plan and other health plans across the country. Jaylen Fryberg is the 14-year-old freshman who opened fire today in the cafeteria at Pilchuck High School in Marysville, Washington. The gunman wounded multiple victims, including at least one friend of his, before fatally shooting himself. Police have said that two people involved in the shooting are dead, including Fryberg. The other deceased person was a female student at Pilchuck.

Every one of the 50 states has some kind of firearms preemption law.   This makes perfect sense, as otherwise each town, county, and local government could enact a local ordinance to invalidate your right to keep and bear arms.   You could easily be placed in jail for an inadvertent violation of an ordiance that you never knew existed, just because you crossed an invisible political boundary.
