Harry Dent, the outspoken financial author and economist, isn’t reversing course from his bold “crash of a lifetime” declaration this past December. Speaking in an updated interview with Fox News Digital, Dent cautioned that the “everything” bubble still has not burst, and it may be a bigger crash than the Great Recession. “In 1925 to ‘29, it was a natural bubble. There was no stimulus behind that, artificial stimulus per se. So this is new. This has never happened,” Dent said Tuesday. “What do you do if you want to cure a hangover? You drink more. And that’s what they’ve...

New Jersey residents will pay the most in lifetime taxes, and people in West Virginia will pay the least, according to a Self Financial study. Earlier this week WalletHub released a study that shows which states’ residents have the highest and lowest tax burden, measured as the proportion of total personal income that residents pay toward state and local taxes. Another study released this week, from credit-building platform Self Financial, analyzed the lifetime cost of tax in the U.S. The study looks at how much tax the average person is estimated to pay in each state throughout their lifetime. According...

Kelly Ripa says it’s “depressing,” but she doesn’t expect to see a woman in the White House in her lifetime. “This goes regardless of political affiliation: Women have to deal with so much bulls‑‑‑ in every facet of life,” Ripa said on her “Let’s Talk Off Camera” podcast released Wednesday. “But when it comes to politics, take that and put it to the 100th power,” the “LIVE with Kelly and Mark” host said. Women in politics, Ripa said, “Have to be tough, but not too tough. They have to look good, but not too good. They can’t be emotional, but...

WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) — New Zealand on Tuesday passed into law a unique plan to phase out tobacco smoking by imposing a lifetime ban on young people buying cigarettes. The law states that tobacco can’t ever be sold to anybody born on or after Jan. 1, 2009. It means the minimum age for buying cigarettes will keep going up and up. In theory, somebody trying to buy a pack of cigarettes 50 years from now would need ID to show they were at least 63 years old. But health authorities hope smoking will fade away well before then. They...

Vice President Kamala Harris felt the time had come Saturday to share some of her hard-won “personal experience” as she told students “follow your moral compass” during her commencement speech at Tennessee State University, before observing “I have been many firsts in my lifetime” and hoped they would be too. Harris said the world they were graduating into “is unsettled” and marked both by the bloody conflict in Ukraine and the tail end of the coronavirus epidemic as nearly 600 graduates trod the stage at Hale Stadium.

History is being made! After lots of talk over the past few years about the very heterosexual love stories featured in Lifetime’s holiday movies, the network announced on September 15 that change is a-coming this festive season. Canada’s own Scott Pilgrim vs the World star Ben Lewis will star alongside Parks and Recreation alum Blake Lee in the first Lifetime holiday movie to feature an LGBTQ love story. And the best part is Lewis and Lee are already married in real life. They say art imitates life, but in this case, art imitates Lifetime. According to TV Line, the special,...

Last Wednesday night, an hour-long interview with Hillary Clinton, presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, aired on television. This alone is remarkable. Few candidates at this level, at this stage of the election cycle, grant any media outlet that much time. Even more remarkable: This sit-down wasn't with "60 Minutes," Charlie Rose or "Meet the Press." Instead, Clinton took questions from little-known former rock 'n roll groupie and celebrity-hanger-on Amanda de Cadenet, who has a talk show on the Lifetime network.

Lifetime will air a special edition of The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet featuring Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, the network announced on Wednesday during the TCA winter press tour. The one-hour interview will bow Jan. 13 at 10 p.m. ET/PT

LONDON – Just under a quarter of British 18-to-35-year-olds believe another Holocaust might happen in their lifetime, according to a poll released Wednesday. The poll of 505 people, commissioned by the European Jewish Congress (EJC), also found that almost 60 percent of those questioned were unaware that six million Jews died during the Holocaust. The survey – carried out by Suration in preparation for an emergency Pan European summit, in cooperation with the European Union, on January 26 in Prague – was aimed at securing views of young British people across a range of subjects, including anti-Semitism and racism. A...

Floods of tears; ecstatic, frankly romantic visions of Jesus; low points and high drama — you’re either reading St. Therese’s autobiography “The Story of a Soul†or you’re watching “The Sisterhood: Becoming Nuns.â€Of course, one of these is a classic work of spirituality by a Doctor of the Church, and the other is a Lifetime reality show (premiering Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 10 p.m. ET/PT), but they’re both the stories of emotional, expressive young women dealing with the notion of becoming a Bride of Christ.Granted, Therese would never have done anything like “twerking,†as does one of the five young...

1. The Post Office Get ready to imagine a world without the Post Office. They are so deeply in financial trouble that there is probably no way to sustain it long term. Email, Fed Ex, and UPS have just about wiped out the minimum revenue needed to keep the Post Office alive. Most of your mail every day is junk mail and bills. 2. The Check Britain is already laying the groundwork to do away with check by 2018. It costs the financial system billions of dollars a year to process checks. Plastic cards and online transactions will lead to...
