  • Russia's Lavrov says he did not discuss Comey with Trump - Interfax

    05/20/2017 10:06:56 AM PDT · by RoosterRedux · 34 replies
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Saturday he had not discussed the firing of the former FBI Director James Comey with U.S. President Donald Trump, Interfax news agency reported. "We did not touch this issue at all," Interfax quoted Lavrov as saying. The New York Times has reported that Trump told Lavrov and Russian ambassador Sergei Kislyak at a White House meeting last week that firing Comey relieved "great pressure" the president faced from a law-enforcement probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

The common element in nearly all the major New York Times and Washington Post stories about President Donald Trump this week is that they are based on source documents the outlets cannot authenticate, do not possess, admit are partial, and refuse to share. Friday’s supposed “bombshell” stories follow the same pattern. The Times reports that Trump told the visiting Russians that former FBI director James Comey was a “nut job,” and that firing him had eased “pressure” in his ability to conduct foreign policy — though the Times takes Trump to mean the legal pressure of the investigation. (That spin...

Here’s a list of some of those who fall into the “no evidence” column: •Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-CA) “The last time we spoke, Senator, I asked you if you had actually seen evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians, and you said to me — and I’m quoting you now — you said, ‘not at this time.’ Has anything changed since we spoke last?” asked CNN’s Wolf Blitzer “Well, not—no, it hasn’t,” Feinstein said. “But I just want to be precise, Senator. In all of the—you’ve had access from the intelligence committee, from the Judiciary committee, all...

The common element in nearly all the major New York Times and Washington Post stories about President Donald Trump this week is that they are based on source documents the outlets cannot authenticate, do not possess, admit are partial, and refuse to share. .. These four stories, taken together, are said by the mainstream media to build a powerful case that Trump committed obstruction of justice and may soon face impeachment. But every piece of evidence could be made up or distorted, and there would be no way to know. In the “nut job” case, the White House has not...
  • Wow! #NeverTrump Candidate Evan McMullin Attended GOP Mtgs. in June — Audio Leaked to WaPo

Apparently, #NeverTrump candidate Evan McMullin attended the June 15 House leadership meeting. McMullin then announced he would run for president against the Republican primary winner Donald Trump in August. Republican leaders now believe McMullin taped the meetings. Earlier this week McMullin confirmed to the Washington Post that a tape leaked to the liberal rag was accurate. Republicans trusted this clown — Now they are worried he is going leak more audio from their meetings — trashing Trump no doubt — to the liberal media.

President Donald Trump is under fire after an explosive report in the New York Times quoted a memo from former FBI Director James Comey indicating Trump had asked him to cease the federal investigation into Michael T. Flynn. The memo was allegedly penned after a meeting Comey had with Trump in February, with Comey writing in the memo afterwards that Trump said “I hope you can let this go,” in regards to the Flynn investigation. The meeting occurred the day after Flynn resigned. The usual chorus of Democrats (i.e. all of them) are calling for impeachment in response to the...

Michael Schmidt, the New York Times “journalist” behind the alleged “Trump-Comey Memo”, told fake news anchor, Brian Williams, that he has NOT seen the memo Comey allegedly wrote. Schmidt stumbled over his words as he commented to Williams, “Someone that had seen [the memo] had recounted details to me.”

  • UPDATE President Trump Drops Another MOAB Media Missing Sally Yates and James Comey Timeline

President Trump drops another Mother Of All Bombs, this time in a twitter version directly targeted at a corrupted and politicized James Comey Dept. of Justice. And what’s more stunning in the aftershock is the media’s incapacity to take the new Trump/Comey timeline information and add it to the existing Sally Yates timeline. Then again, to do so would be to expose another level of FBI/DOJ politicization that remains hidden from public consumption. Another political operative, Asst. Director of Counter Intelligence, Bill Priestap, who accompanied acting AG Sally Yates to the meeting with White House Counsel Don McGahn, is a...
  • Trump Should Pull Out of Obama’s Unilaterally Created Paris Climate Change Treaty

On April 22, 2016, the United States and 170 other countries signed the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, which seeks “to combat climate change and adapt to its effects.” This international measure commits signatories to shift their energy industries away from fossil fuels that cause “greenhouse gas” emissions, and toward renewal resources like wind and solar power. Unfortunately, as documented by Heritage Foundation experts, U.S. enactment of regulations to meet benchmarks set by the Paris Accord would likely achieve only “symbolic” gains, while imposing huge costs to the U.S. in the form of fewer American jobs, lower family incomes, and...

If those who are demanding Sajjan’s resignation think he will resign because it is the honourable thing to do, they are sadly living in the past. It’s all about power, not honour Those who think Canada’s Defense Minister will resign are living in the past In the past few days there have been calls for Harjit Sajjan to resign his cabinet post as the Minister of Defense. While it is certainly possible he might resign if he personally cannot take the heat, or if Justin Trudeau believes it is politically expedient to get rid of him, there is no way...

The president of the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) on Saturday pushed back against President Trump's claims that news outlets covering his administration critically are reporting "fake news." "We are not fake news, we are not failing news organizations and we are not the enemy of the American people," WHCA president and Reuters correspondent Jeff Mason said at the organization's annual dinner. Trump and his chief strategist Steven Bannon have repeatedly referred to members of the media as the "enemy of the American people," while Trump himself has long maintained an antagonistic relationship with the press. Mason's speech received a...

As Fox News is roiled by lawsuits and the ouster of Bill O’Reilly, the network’s co-president Bill Shine has retained the backing of the Murdochs. On Monday, Rupert Murdoch took network co-presidents Shine and Jack Abernethy to lunch at Marea, a seafood restaurant near Fox’s midtown headquarters — a highly public show of support. But privately, Shine is expressing concern about his future at the network. According to three sources briefed on the conversations, Shine has told friends he recently asked Rupert’s sons James and Lachlan — the CEO and co-chairman, respectively, of network parent company 21st Century Fox —...

Atlanta, Georgia (CNN)Republicans were served another reminder of President Donald Trump's unpopularity Tuesday as Democrat Jon Ossoff nearly captured a House seat in a region that for decades has been a conservative stronghold, with the Democrat ultimately falling just short of the percent needed to avoid a runoff. CNN projects that Ossoff will miss the 50% he needed to win outright. He and the other top vote-getter -- Republican candidate Karen Handel -- will now face off on their own in June.

The furor over Trump’s tweet regarding being wiretapped lives on. His detractors characterize everything that comes out of his mouth as either annoying, destructive or an outright lie. Since these people cannot be used as a gauge of his veracity, I decided it was important to do my own analysis. My interest started after I wrote a column about factors surrounding the issue of his tweet stating he was wiretapped. I took the position that you had to analyze his statement and not take it literally. He really meant he and his people were having their activities and communications...

When politicians and experts talk about the effects, costs and benefits of immigration, it is easy to assume that any differences they may have with your own opinions are subjective; that they have looked at the data and drawn different conclusions. But what if it was all a fantasy? What if the data they base their policy, spending, in fact everything on, is nothing but a fiction? It might lead you to believe that we are living in dangerous times where no one can be trusted and nothing can be assumed as factual. Welcome to the reality of modern Britain....

Rep. Adam Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, was previously financially aided by the George Soros-financed MoveOn.org to win his Congressional seat. Schiff was also awarded the Toll Fellowship, which is sponsored by the Council of State Governments, a nonprofit that monitors federal government activities and is heavily financed by Soros’s Open Society Foundations. The Open Society and Soros-funded groups have additionally supported a number of Schiff’s legislative efforts. Schiff has been helping to lead the Democrats’ unsubstantiated charges of alleged collusion between President Donald Trump and Moscow.

    Throughout his campaign and into his presidency, Donald Trump has remained critical of much of the media — to put it lightly. During his race against Hillary Clinton, Trump regularly made references to a media bias against him, going so far as to say that “without the media, Hillary Clinton couldn’t be elected dogcatcher.” Now, according to a Gallup poll published Wednesday, it seems it's a point of view that more and more Americans agree with. {..snip..}

PolitiFact has pulled a 2014 fact-check on remarks about Syria by former Secretary of State John Kerry after the claim the Obama administration “got ‘100 percent’ of chemical weapons out of Syria” turned out to be false. In a post about the recent chemical weapons attack in Syria, PolitiFact admitted, “The outcry leads us to revisit a 2014 claim from former Secretary of State John Kerry.” “Kerry said in a television interview that in Syria, ‘we got 100 percent of the chemical weapons out.’ Syria had agreed in 2013 to an ambitious program to destroy its chemical stockpiles under international...

Further down in the article: SECRETARY TILLERSON: Good evening, all. I think what we want to try to do is give you a little bit of background on how we got to the statements by the President and the actions that were taken tonight. As you’re well aware, Bashar al-Assad has carried out chemical attacks this past week on civilians, including women and children, and carried out attacks earlier — last month, March 25th and 30th in Homs Province, as well. We have a very high level of confidence that the attacks were carried out by aircraft under the direction...
