CNN and FOX News have stepped up their game. CNN has gone full infotainment under Jeff Zucker and is eating MSNBC’s lunch. Meanwhile MSNBC has the same cast of social justice warriors with occasional interruptions from idiots like Al Sharpton and Chris Matthews offering the same predigested pablum that MSNBC’s younger audience gets in mock form from the Daily Show. The collapse is hitting fast and hard. MSNBC’s demo ratings, the 25-54 adult audience, has fallen anywhere from 39% to 45% (I’ve seen three numbers quoted across Variety, Deadline and Mediaite, 39%, 40% and 45%). For Q1 2015, MSNBC’s weekday primetime...

March 30, 2015 (NewsBusters.org) -- Media Research Center (MRC) and Family Research Council (FRC) are launching a joint national campaign to educate the public about a Disney ABC sitcom pilot based on the life of bigoted activist Dan Savage. MRC and FRC contacted Ben Sherwood, president of Disney/ABC Television Group, more than two weeks ago urging him to put a stop to this atrocity but received no response. [Read the full letter]A perusal of Dan Savage’s work reveals a career built on advocating violence — even murder — and spewing hatred against people of faith. Savage has spared no one with whom he disagrees from his vitriolic...

As I watched "Good Morning America" today, I saw a segment where the media was bringing pressure to bear on the Indiana legislature and governor. George Stephanopolous was questioning governor Pence: George Stephanopolis:Final question, final yes-or-no question, Governor. Do you think it should be legal, in the state of Indiana, to discriminate against gays or lesbians? And this is how they characterize the debate. They portray one side (theirs) as heroic, and the other side (ours) as evil. Governor Pence was not prepared for this ambush. His response was scatter shot and muddled. Among the things he could have said...

Myanmar's constitution guarantees religious freedom. But some radical Buddhists have been railing against Muslims – a tendency which has reached the lawmakers by now.Everything seems normal as children in red clothes play football on a dusty patch. However, this patch is the courtyard of a monastery and the young players with their rolled-up shirts and bare arms are Buddhist novices. Their teacher, U Nayaka, laughs at the notion that a monastery is supposed to be a place of meditation. "It is never quiet here, my students always make noise," said Phaung Daw Oo, director of the monastery school, who is...

In January of 2014, award-winning investigative journalist for NBC News Lisa Meyers announced she was leaving the network after thirty-three years—supposedly to work on her golf game. However, an interview this week with the Des Moines Register gave credence to the speculation that she left because network news no longer wanted to upset the White House and other politicians. […] Meyers has made similar charges in the past: months before she left NBC, Newsbusters reported about a Meyers appearance where she called the press one of Obama’s most important constituencies. …

Just a thought: is it possible that the New York Times and the other liberal media outlets are covering the Hillary email and Clinton Foundation scandals now to get them out of the way so they will be "old news" by 2016?

In one of the dumbest articles ever to see the light of day, Mother Jones has declared that eating three meals a day is "racist." The piece, titled "Why You Should Stop Eating Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner," was written by Kiera Butler, a senior editor, and was published yesterday. How is eating food racist? Butler explains that white Europeans brought the tradition of eating three meals a day with them to the "New World." "When European settlers got to America, they also imported their meal habits," Butler writes, "a light meal—maybe cold mush and radishes—in the morning, a heavier, cooked...

On Friday’s “Situation Room,” CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer characterized the failure of a resolution to fund the Department of Homeland Security for three weeks as the Republicans “failing to break the deadlock over funding the Department of Homeland Security,” despite the fact that the majority of the votes against the resolution came from Democrats. “How will the Department of Homeland Security protect Americans from a terror threat, which is growing daily, if congress cannot find a way to pay those workers whose job is — supposed to keep all of us safe? Looks like Republicans are moments away from failing...

Go Rudy. America’s mayor nailed it right on when he had the balls to say what’s really on the minds of most Americans who love our country the way it should be loved! And if the media loved our country, they’d tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about the man in the White House that would be our king, if we let him. Twenty seven different names, in twenty two states, with twenty one social security numbers that won’t even pass E-verify; that’s Barack. Rudy revealed the fears of many Americans; fears our national media...

MSNBC might like to replace "Lean Forward" with a new slogan: "Dissent Is Unpatriotic." On today's Morning Joe, discussing the Rudy flap, Mika Brzezinski said: "I question the patriotism of someone who questions the president's patriotism." Joe Scarborough retorted that for years on MSNBC, Keith Olbermann got away with saying much worse about W without criticism from Mika or others in the MSM. View the video here.

KING, Wis. — At the old union hall here on a recent afternoon, Terry Magnant sat at the head of a table surrounded by 18 empty chairs. A members meeting had been scheduled to start a half-hour earlier, but the small house, with its cracked walls and loose roof shingles, was lonely and desolate. “There used to be a lot more people coming,” said Magnant, a 51-year-old nursing assistant, sighing. The anti-union law passed here four years ago, which made Gov. Scott Walker a national Republican star and a possible presidential candidate, has turned out to be even more transformative...

Disgraced NBC News anchor Brian Williams has resigned from the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation’s board of directors. In a statement announcing the resignation Thursday, foundation president Ron Rand did not elaborate on Williams’ reason for the decision. Williams, 55, has been on the foundation’s board since 2006. The organization supports the Congressional Medal of Honor Society, which presents the country’s highest military award for acts of valor above and beyond the call of duty.NBC brass suspended Williams last week for six months without pay after he was caught lying about being on a military helicopter that was hit by...

David Carr the New York Times media critic has died. He was found in the Times office at 9 PM Thursday night. Those who knew him say he looked ghastly in his last several days. Published accounts of his life tell us Carr was a drug addict who was not to be trusted to tell the truth. Drug addicts in Carr’s close circle suspect he returned to his voracious appetite for cocaine. One who was identified by the site Gotnews.com made this comment about his friend David, “If he was going to casinos [with….] and watching hundreds of thousands of...

We all knew this was coming: liberal attacks on Gov. Scott Walker for not having a college degree. In 1990, Walker decided to drop out of Marquette University during the spring semester of his senior year - a decision that’s mystified the political left. But then there’s former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, who–as Dan wrote–basically questioned Walker’s intelligence: "This is a particular problem for Scott Walker which has not been an issue yet, but it will. Scott Walker, were he to become president, would be the first president in many generations who did not have a college degree. So the...

Here is a bit of free advice for liberals: Speak the truth in front of a camera or prepare to be outed. The truth can be smothered for just so long and that period is shrinking. The Brian Williams case is a serious and threatening matter for liberals. The fact that Williams has gone down is far from the most menacing aspect of this matter for liberal Democrats. The sobering aspect of Lyin’ Brian’s tumble is not just what has come out (and who knows how much more will immerge?); rather it is where the information that nailed him came...

Why bother hanging out with celebrities when I can spend time with the people who made me one?” Obama asked the crowd of black tie journalists and media personalities gathered at the Washington Convention Center. “I know where my bread is buttered.”

Preliminary Nielsen ratings show “NBC Nightly News” dropped -36% on Friday from last week’s Monday-Thursday average among A25-54 viewers. NBC’s competitors were down too, but not as much: ABC was down -16% while CBS was down -17% on Friday.

He lied? Yes he lied. Wait a minute. Maybe Brian Williams simply embellished. Guys do that all the time. We all want to be heroes. We enhance the truth particularly as we behaved in war. That’s where Brian Williams met his disgrace. “That’s the way it is,” Walter Cronkite used to say. Well, no. Not quite, these days. There too, in Israel, some are catching on to the deceptions from “news you can trust.” Leading journalist Kalman Liebeskind on Arutz Sheva upbraids (leftist) Big Media for their volley of lies and half-truths especially as they go gunning for Benjamin Netanyahu...

Americans’ views of President Barack Obama have improved slightly in the past two months, and opinions are more positive about the direction of the country and the health of the economy, an Associated Press-GfK poll finds. A slim majority now approves of the way Obama is handling unemployment, according to the poll, conducted before Friday’s release of a surprisingly strong jobs report. Forty-seven percent of those surveyed approve of how Obama is doing his job, compared with 41 percent in December, and 51 percent approve of his handling of unemployment, compared with 44 percent before. Nearly half say the economy...

Embattled NBC News anchor Brian Williams is backing out of scheduled appearance on David Letterman’s “Late Show” on Thursday. That news from NBC came Sunday, a day after Williams said he was stepping away from NBC’s “Nightly News” as the network looks into the anchor’s admission that he had told a false story about being on helicopter hit by a grenade while reporting on the Iraq war. Williams had spread the story of his helicopter being under attack during a previous “Late Show” interview with Letterman. He apologized for the statements on Wednesday, and NBC News launched an internal investigation...
