The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) posted a video on its website to tell Americans that they should think about how much food they waste during the holiday season if they want to help save the planet. Local, state, and federal authorities are all tiptoeing around the notion of calling the attack in San Bernardino that killed 14 people "terrorism." Caution in identifying the motive for the attack as Islamic terrorism as opposed to some kind of "workplace violence" – a meme being aggressively advanced by many on the left – is understandable and justifiable. Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said Monday that Iraq has sufficient forces to fight the Islamic State group (ISIS), after American senators called for more US troops to be deployed to the country. The American Psychological Association has taken the extraordinary step of retracting an in-house journal article that asserted the rate of rape and other sexual trauma among military men was as much as 15 times higher than the Pentagon’s own survey. In a press released posted Sunday night, the APA said outside scholars had examined the study, “Preliminary Data Suggest Rates of Male Sexual Trauma May be Higher than Previously Reported,” and determined that the method for randomly selecting and surveying male combat veterans was flawed.

In August of 2014 Michael Brown, 18, 6-foot-4, 290 lbs., robbed a store in Ferguson [1], Missouri. Brown (who apparently had recently used marijuana) assaulted the clerk, then walked down the middle of the street before being stopped by city police officer Darren Wilson, who tentatively matched Brown as one of the possible suspects in the recent robbery.
