Hillary sat at a table, Iowans around her, making the case for what most of us would call amnesty for illegal aliens. She cited her grandparents. As she has many times before, she said they were immigrants. All of them. She told stirring stories of how hard they worked and how they found their place in America. It was all very moving. The problem is, it didn’t happen to be true. And within hours of her saying so, a reporter was able to prove her claim false. How? Census records. In the era of Internet genealogy, once obscure and unreachable...

We live in a constitutional republic in which our elected officials are bound by the constraints of the Constitution, which means they don't have a license to do whatever they please, even if they think it would be best for the country. That President Barack Obama so flagrantly violates this enshrined legal principle and much of his Democratic Party supports him in doing so is why so many other people are outraged and, at times, fear for their country. Under past presidents in my lifetime (I was born after FDR), Republican and Democratic, we have not had to live in...

Abraham Lincoln and George Washington were gay, says a new book by a gay activist and award winning writer. Larry Kramer, 79, says he believes what's written in his history book is true though he is selling it as fiction to avoid legal troubles. In Volume One of his two part book 'The American People,' Kramer says that Abraham Lincoln was gay and his killer John Wilkes Booth was actually Lincoln's spurned gay lover. 'We know that Abraham Lincoln was gay,' Kramer told CBS in an interview about the book which came out this month.

Although Hillary Clinton boasts a robust 3.6 million Twitter followers, not even a vast right-wing conspiracy would be able to interact with 2 million of them. According to two popular online measuring tools, no more than 44 per cent of her Twitter fan base consists of real people who are active in using the social media platform. And at least 15 per cent – more than 544,000 – are completely fake. StatusPeople.com, the oldest publicly available Twitter-auditing tool, reports that 44 per cent of the former secretary of state's followers are 'good'; 15 per cent are 'fake'; and 41 per...

Embattled news anchor Brian Williams couldn’t bring himself to admit he lied about coming under fire on a chopper in Iraq — so he instead wondered aloud if he had a brain tumor, a new report claims. Several NBC News insiders told Vanity Fair that the fact-challenged Williams — who was suspended without pay for six months from his “Nightly News” gig — had trouble explaining what had happened. “(He said,) ‘Did something happen to (my) head? Maybe I had a brain tumor, or something in my head,’” a source told the magazine in its upcoming piece. “He just didn’t...

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush marked himself down as Hispanic on a voter registration form that asked for his “race/ethnicity” in 2009, according to a document posted online by The New York Times. [Snip] Bush was born to two white parents. But he speaks Spanish, married a woman born in Mexico and once lived in Venezuela.

She can’t help herself. Hillary Clinton is addicted to deception. The news that she used an iPad as well as BlackBerry demolishes her already-ridiculous claim that she set up a private e-mail server so she would only need to carry one gadget as secretary of state. At a March 10 press conference, Clinton put it this way: “I thought using one device would be simpler, and, obviously, it hasn’t worked out that way. Looking back, it would have been probably . . . smarter to have used two devices.” Those comments, her first public ones on the scandal, are now...

Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler uses a “Pinocchio” scale to assign a level of egregiousness to lies he uncovers, with four Pinocchios as the maximum … until now. Secretary of State John Kerry earned himself the full complement two weeks ago from Kessler for bragging about his management of the first global-warming hearing in the Senate, a hearing that he not only didn’t arrange but didn’t even attend. Kessler dug deeper on the tall tales emanating from the event, and found that one of the real organizers has been lying about what took place in the hearing in order to...

Obama has actually accomplished quite a bit, and here’s a long list of his accomplishments, so stop bashing, haters! First President to be photographed smoking a joint. First President to apply for college aid as a foreign student, then deny he was a foreigner. First President to have a social security number from a state he has never lived in. First President to preside over a cut to the credit-rating of the United States. First President to violate the War Powers Act. First President to be held in contempt of court for illegally obstructing oil drilling in the Gulf of...

Sen. Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., who suffered a serious eye injury while exercising in his home in January, announced what a lot of conservatives have been waiting with bated breath to hear: He’s not seeking reelection. He’s served for about three decades in Congress and has been one of President Obama’s biggest defenders on several of the White House leader’s key agenda pushes. “I understand this place,” he said, the New York Times reported. “I have quite a bit of power as minority leader.”

President Obama slammed Republicans Wednesday for continuing to war against his signature healthcare law five years in."It's working, despite countless attempts to repeal, undermine, defund and defame this law," Obama said in a speech commemorating the Affordable Care Act's anniversary of passage."We've made our share of mistakes since we passed this law, but we also know beyond a shred of doubt the law has worked," he said. "Deficits have been slashed, lives have been saved."It's been half a decade since Democrats in Congress passed the healthcare law and it remains arguably the most controversial piece of legislation passed during Obama's...

A federal judge sharply scolded a Justice Department attorney at a hearing on President Obama's immigration executive actions, suggesting that the administration misled him on a key part of the program -- and that he fell for it, "like an idiot." The testy court hearing was held Thursday in Texas by U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen. The judge suggested he could order sanctions against the administration if he finds they indeed misrepresented the facts.

“I have a biology degree, okay?”– Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), in remarks at the Lincoln Labs “Reboot Congress” conference, Feb. 12, 2015This column has been updated with an additional explanation by Paul’s spokesman. We first spotted a version of this quote in a Bloomberg column by David Weigel, and then checked the quotes with our colleague Jose DelReal, who had attended the conference. This is a bit of an odd one, given that Paul does not have a college undergraduate degree. The Facts Paul mentioned his alleged degree at the conference not once, but twice. First, in an exchange with TechCrunch founder Michael...

(Image: a Jewish settler in Hebron throws wine on a Palestinian woman)The election of Benjamin Netanyahu to his fourth term as prime minister of Israel has solidified what many have already known about the state of Israel: it is a racist, colonial state that cannot be considered a democracy in any shape or form. Netanyahu’s opponent, Zionist Union leader Isaac Herzog had looked set to win the hard fought election, but Bibi’s desperate last minute plea to the hard right appeared to have tipped the balance. “The right’s regime is in danger,” Netanyahu had told potential voters on Facebook. “The Arabs...

Secretary of State John Kerry isn't planning on asking forgiveness any time soon for Senate Republicans' recent letter to Iranian leaders, saying the missive contained not only "false information" but that it was "directly calculated to interfere." When asked whether he would take responsibility for the letter in the multi-party negotiations with foreign leaders over Iran's nuclear program, Kerry said "not on your life." "I'm not going to apologize for the unconstitutional, un-thought-out action by somebody who's been in the United States Senate for 60-something days," Kerry told CBS News correspondent Margaret Brennan in an interview Sunday on "Face the...

“When people tell you Social Security is going broke, you look them in the eye and tell them they’re not telling you the truth,” said Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) at an event on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., on Thursday to petition Congress not to cut Social Security or Medicare. “Today, the Social Security Trust Fund has a $2.8 trillion surplus,” Sanders said. […] As CNSNews.com previously reported, however, the Social Security program ran a $47.8 billion deficit in fiscal 2012 as the program brought in $725.429 billion in cash and paid $773.247 billion for benefits and overhead expenses, according...

... Here is a summary of how Clinton’s attorneys, who were tasked with the job, said they sorted through: First, a search was done of all emails Clinton received from a .gov or state.gov account during the period she was secretary of state -- from 2007 to 2013. Then, with the remaining emails, a search was done for names of 100 State Department and other U.S. government officials who Clinton may have had correspondence with during her tenure. Next, the emails were organized and reviewed by sender and recipient to “account for non-obvious or non-recognizable email addresses or misspellings or...

All over Twitter you can find negative reactions to Hillary Clinton’s just-concluded press conference. To me, the most important part of her press conference was her statement that was an obvious, flat-out lie: She said the e-mail server was initially set up for use by former president Bill Clinton. Hillary Clinton insisted that there were “numerous safeguards” in place, adding there were “no security breaches.” One hacker broke into Hillary’s account in 2013 and leaked several messages to Kremlin-funded RT. Beyond that example, if her server is being privately managed, there’s no way for, say, State Department security professionals or...

Essay;Blizzard of Lies By WILLIAM SAFIRE Published: January 8, 1996 Americans of all political persuasions are coming to the sad realization that our First Lady -- a woman of undoubted talents who was a role model for many in her generation -- is a congenital liar. Drip by drip, like Whitewater torture, the case is being made that she is compelled to mislead, and to ensnare her subordinates and friends in a web of deceit. 1. Remember the story she told about studying The Wall Street Journal to explain her 10,000 percent profit in 1979 commodity trading? We now know...
