The EPA’s highest-paid employee and a leading expert on climate change was sentenced to 32 months in federal prison Wednesday for lying to his bosses and saying he was a CIA spy working in Pakistan so he could avoid doing his real job. John C. Beale’s crimes were “inexplicable” and “egregious," said Judge Ellen Huvelle in imposing the sentence in a Washington. D.C. federal court. Beale has also agreed to pay $1.3 million in restitution and forfeiture to the government. Beale said he was ashamed of his lies about working for the CIA. “Why did I do this? Greed –...

Rachel Maddow admits she falsely stated a traffic study at the center of Christie's "Lanegate" was phonied up. The study exists after all. Even this liberal media critic criticizes her for sloppy journalism. He calls her "dishonest."

The White House systematically delayed enacting a series of rules on the environment, worker safety and health care to prevent them from becoming points of contention before the 2012 election, according to documents and interviews with current and former administration officials. Some agency officials were instructed to hold off submitting proposals to the White House for up to a year to ensure that they would not be issued before voters went to the polls, the current and former officials said. The delays meant that rules were postponed or never issued. The stalled regulations included crucial elements of the Affordable Care...

Once upon a time Linda Walther Tirado aka KillerMartinis wrote an essay about what it feels like to be poor. In spite (or perhaps because) of its nihilism and hopelessness, Linda’s story enchanted the internet and went viral. Linda’s essay was hailed as brilliant, honest, brave, and shared and discussed all over Facebook, Twitter and the Huffington Post. But as anyone who knows a thing or two about poverty could tell you, Linda’s tale was pure poverty porn. Not honest or authentic at all, but designed — like all effective porn — to make its target audience feel good. Cooking...

A New Jersey waitress who raked in thousands in donations after claiming a couple didn’t tip her because she’s gay was fired from her job on Saturday. Dayna Morales, 22, was finally canned from Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater — nearly a month after she made national headlines over what’s likely a hoax. (snip) “She exaggerated every story,” former coworker Julie Howat told The Post. “I knew [the receipt] was fake. When the articles came out, everyone at my job laughed.”

The New Jersey waitress who received thousands of dollars in donations after claiming to receive an anti-gay message from a patron may be refunding the money. Dayna Morales, 22, received national attention after she said that a family she was serving at Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater wrote a disturbing note on their credit card receipt which read, “I’m sorry but I cannot tip because I don’t agree with your lifestyle & how you live your life”. Outraged, Morales sent an email and a picture of the receipt, which showed that the family of four — a husband, wife and...

In April, the Real Clear Politics' average of polls showed 47 percent of Americans opposed ObamaCare, while 41 percent supported it — a 6-percentage-point edge for opponents of the president's health care law, which at the time was still months away from implementation. The latest average of polls, less than two months into the law's rollout, shows 57 percent opposing ObamaCare, with 38 percent supporting it — an enormous 19-point gap between opponents and supporters. For years, GOP warnings about ObamaCare were about something that had not yet arrived. People had not experienced it, did not have friends who had...

by John UrbanTop Right NewsYesterday, we reported on how Barack Obama's drunken illegal alien Uncle Omar was handed amnesty by a corrupt immigration judge working for Eric Holder. Obama promised his uncle would get not special treatment. If you believe that, you might have believed what Obama claimed in 2011 -- that he never even met his uncle! That's right -- two years ago, right after Uncle Omar, a 21-year fugitive from a Federal deportation order, was arrested for DUI in Boston -- the White House claimed Obama had never met Uncle Omar, nor knew he was an illegal alien. The problem?...

WASHINGTON—It is now apparent that our President has lied to us. He lied when he crooned soothingly about improving the healthcare of millions of Americans through vast changes in health policy that would actually lower their costs. Those costs are now going up, and they are going up for almost everyone. They will not come down. He lied when he said we could keep our present healthcare policy. Those policies are rapidly disappearing. He lied again when he said we could keep our doctors. He lied when he said his plan would not involve rationing. I could go on, but...

.... Obama leaves the White House on Wednesday for one of the capital’s most struggling neighborhoods to talk about the economy, not simply to divert attention from his troubled Affordable Care Act but to explain how that law, for all of its flaws, fits into his vision for Americans’ economic security and upward mobility. It is a vision of partnership between government and citizens that Mr. Obama has described since he was a state senator in Illinois, and it draws on the legacies of three Republican presidents —Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt and Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Politifact is about to release its "Lie of the Year", as selected by its "editors and reporters". They also are conducting their annual 'Lie of the Year' Reader's Choice poll. Is there really any doubt about what that choice should be?Here's a hint...It's worth keeping in mind that when Obama first uttered this blatant lie, PolitiFact actually rated it HALF TRUE, despite dozens of healthcare exports insisting the bill -- which Nancy Pelosi herself admitted she hadn't read -- would do exactly the opposite. Now, belatedly, PolitiFact rates Obama's lie "Pants on Fire". I would give them kudos, but it...

Gay waitress who claims she was given homophobic note instead of a tip is a compulsive liar who faked cancer and said she was blown up by a land mine, former colleagues claim Dayna Morales' story that she was left a homophobic note instead of a tip appears to be unraveling A host of ex-colleagues have come forward to question her credibility One former co-worker said she told her that she had cancer Morales is an ex-Marine, but while she spoke of seeing action overseas, reports show she never completed her training After Superstorm Sandy she told co-workers that a...

President Barack Obama repeated on Monday that he will not take executive actions to halt deportations of undocumented immigrants, saying that such unilateral action would "violate our laws." "We are a nation of laws – that’s part of our tradition."

Fewer people in the United States have confidence in President Obama as leader of the federal government, with a majority saying he’s neither honest nor trustworthy. According to a CNN/ORC international poll released Monday, 40 percent said they believe Obama can manage the federal government effectively. That’s a 12-percentage-point-drop since June, and the worst score he received among nine personal characteristics measured in the poll. "A lot of attention has focused on the president's numbers on honesty in new polling the past three weeks, but it looks like the recent controversy over ObamaCare has had a bigger impact on his...

Support among Democrats for ObamaCare sunk dramatically in the last month as the new insurance exchanges experienced serious technical problems, according to a new survey. A monthly tracking poll by the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) found that 55 percent of Democrats now support the Affordable Care Act compared with 70 percent in October. The current level of support among Dems is only slightly higher than than the record low of 52 percent in late 2011. KFF has been tracking attitudes toward ObamaCare since April 2010. Women also expressed their least positive views to date about the law, with 48 percent...

Asked whether she needed to apologize to the formerly insured who have lost their health insurance plans, former House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said, "Did I ever tell my constituents that if they liked their plan they could keep it? I would have if I'd ever met anybody who liked his or her plan. But that was not my experience." Pelosi, whose net worth -- combined with her husband's -- is estimated between $35 and $180 million, never "met anybody who liked his or her plan"? Her out-of-touch comment reminds one of then-New Yorker film critic, liberal Pauline Kael....

U.S. Senator Kay Hagan (D-NC) is now attempting to run as far away from her support of ObamaCare as possible. One hollow but high-profile move Hagan recently made was to demand a full investigation of the ObamaCare exchanges. Hagan is also supporting a bill to "make sure that people who like their health insurance can keep it." One wonders, then, why her website still promotes the discredited promise that ObamaCare allows you to keep your insurance. A reader on Twitter, @Jaschrein, alerted me to the fact that this proven lie is still live and being spread on Hagan's official Senate...
