Click here to find out more! David Letterman is a liberal kind of guy, and like many on the left, old Dave is kind of frustrated these days. A new Gallup poll has President Obama's job approval rating at just 41 percent, with 53 percent disapproving. Those are the lowest numbers Gallup has posted since Obama was inaugurated more than a year and a half ago. So Dave is seeking answers to the president's diminishing popularity, and that kind of conversation usually involves the Fox News Channel, which is considered by the left to be all anti-Obama, all the time....

David Letterman Curses Out Andrew Breitbart, Fox News,Conservatives in Heated Discussion with Rachel Maddow QUOTE:Maddow: ..Scaring white people is good politics on the Conservative side of the spectrum, and it always has been.Quote:1:38...the idea is your sort of rile up the white base to be afraid of an other to be afraid of scary immigrants or scary black people (agesticulating wildly as if counting items off a list ) somebody coming to take what is white people's "rightful property " Letterman:There's a guy who apparently takes interviews, press conferences and edits them and cobbles them together so they give the...

David Letterman took a jab at Bill O’Reilly while hosting MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow on his show saying ” I don’t think you can be as smart as he is and actually believe what he believes”, his theory is driven by the idea that he only does it for the money. Of course, Letterman is not only taking a shot at O’Reilly, but at Conservative beliefs in general– which no doubt made his ultra left-leaning guest feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Letterman said, ” I have a theory about Bill O’Reilly, smart guy, and I think he knows better than...

David Letterman, speaking to MSNBC host Rachel Maddow on his show, asked about the Shirley Sherrod incident and took it upon himself to slam Andrew Breitbart. At one point during the interview he asked her “how much time, energy was wasted on this a*shole ****ing around?” Maddow described Breitbart as a “spinoff from Matt Drudge, from the Drudge Report.” Breitbart, indeed, used to serve as an editor of the Drudge Report, but her intentions in mentioning the Drudge Report probably amount to the effectiveness of the site to sway public debate– not to mention millions of viewers visiting per day....

There's big news on the late night TV battlefront today: The Tonight Show with Jay Leno posted its lowest-rated Q2 -- the first full quarter since Leno came back as host after Conan O'Brien was dumped -- since the Late Show with David Letterman launched on CBS in 1993. Additionally, Late Show delivered its most competitive finish against The Tonight Show in viewers and key demographics since 1995. Still, Leno topped Letterman in the ratings during their first quarter in 9 months as late-night rivals. The Tonight Show averaged 4.0 million viewers and a 1.1/4 in adults 18-49, down 20%...

On this clip, Letterman thinks that it's no biggie. If Bush was the POTUS I wonder if ... oh what's the point?

Following liberals and conservatives in the comments sections of political websites can be enlightening as to the vast gap in logical discourse between left and right in this country. Pam Stout, a Tea Party Patriot, appeared on David Letterman's show April 1, 2010, and the fray began anew. Conservatives: "--Miss Stout, in the video, talks of individual responsibility, letting failures fail, and the creativity of the human mind. No doubt, this will cause a tizzy on the left. Pointing out that business creates jobs will rally the race-bait Alinskyite crowd. Too bad for them, America is awakening. We shall see...

Pam Stout Appears On Letterman: Becomes New Face Of Tea Party Movement?by Drew Grant | 9:01 pm, March 31st, 2010 There’s no arguing that the grassroots Tea Party movement hasn’t been portrayed in a very positive light recently. After the P.R. debacle on Capital Hill during the passing of the Health Care bill, when members of the party were accused of shouting slurs at Democratic Congressmen and and throwing money at a sick man, the campaign needed a new face if it was ever going stop being so easily demonized by the left. And last night, a new candidate emerged...

The truth was exposed during his excellent interview with Pam Stout, President of Sandpoint, Idaho Tea Party. This is not an April Fools’ Day joke either. David Letterman had Pam Stout, the Sandpoint, Idaho Tea Party President on his show the other night. The result? A very fair and enlightening interview, showing the real face of the Tea Party to many viewers who may have only been believing the lamestream media spin (Racists! Cuckoo pants! Violent Haters!)

In the latest issue of Vanity Fair, Mark Seal took an inside look at David Letterman's sexual scandal and the love-triangle that rocked CBS's "Late Show" last October with Letterman's live confession on-air. Interested in juicy details and pop psychology, Seal effectively vindicated Letterman for the numerous affairs he had with various employees, assistants, and interns. As the article notes, the scandal came to a head when Joe Halderman, a veteran but financially-troubled producer of "48 Hours Mystery," discovered his live-in girlfriend and "Late Show" intern Stephanie Birkett was having an affair with the host.Halderman attempted to blackmail Letterman with...

A year-plus later, "Sarah Who" is now "Sarah Wow." Like President Reagan who rose from the wreckage of the 1976 battle with then-President Gerald Ford to capture the White House and recapture the soul of America thirsting for change and clarity, Jay Leno will host and America will witness on Tuesday night Sarah Palin as a true heartland comeback. Here are some terrific ways to prepare to watch Sarah Palin: • Prepare your TiVo, DVR, or video recorder at least a few hours in advance so that there are no last-minute problems. • Have a notepad so that you can...

Updated: in the local people meter markets Leno was twice as popular with adults 18-49, scoring a 2.0 rating vs a 1.0 rating for Letterman. In the metered market houshold ratings between 11:30p-12:30a Jay Leno’s return to The Tonight Show dominated Leterman and Late Show. Leno had a 5.4/14 (household rating/share) to Letterman’s 3.0/8. Sure, Leno’s first night back (and perhaps first week or two back) is likely inflated by a post-Olympic halo, but the early indication is “all is forgiven.”

Jay Leno made news when he announced that Sarah Palin will be among his high-profile guests when he returns to The Tonight Show next week (aka "The Jaysurrection"). Now David Letterman's lineup for next week pits Mitt Romney against Sarah Palin on Tuesday night -- and the ratings may well provide clues on which probable GOP presidential contender may be most popular. The week's lineup for Letterman's Late Show are: MONDAY, Bill Murray; TUESDAY, Mitt Romney; WEDNESDAY, Jerry Seinfeld and Tom Brokaw; THURSDAY, Tom Hanks; and FRIDAY, Matt Damon. Leno's first week of guests are: MONDAY, Jamie Foxx, Olympic Gold...

David Letterman looked like "either Dinty Moore or Paul Bunyan's son." Or so recalls Jay Leno from his 1996 book on his first meeting with Letterman in 1975. It was a fateful encounter that formed an initial partnership and friendship. But now, in retrospect, it's a tragic relationship in which the repercussions from the fallout between the two are still being felt 35 years later, changing late night television forever. And, unknowingly, altering the fate of a then-12 year-old boy living in Brookline, Massachusetts -- Conan O'Brien. Letterman, on a January 19 episode of Late Show, referred to Jay Leno...

...Palin endorses John McCain? Top ten... 1) She's just "playing the game". Standing on principle and voting the RINO's out is fine as long as it doesn't interfere with Sarah becoming prez. 2) If Sarah says supporting RINO's is okay, that's good enough for me. The Messiah is infallible and what do I know?. 3) She's not being inconsistent, she's making a tactical retreat, but hey that's politics. 4) A smart move by the smartest woman in the world. 5) She didn't want to but the dims threatened to file an ethics complaint if she didn't. 6) She's not quiting,...

The BCS Championship Game was a damp squib thanks to Colt McCoy's early exit from the game although Texas showed a bit of spirit and got it close. The satellite was already in the network-affiliate neighborhood so I punched down to the next channel which was the CBS affiliate and was treated to the, er, spectacle of Rachel Maddow appearing on David Letterman's show. Speaking of spectacles, Maddow had chosen a none-more-hip pair of bowling-ball blue Buddy Holly frames that had either cost a fortune or had been stolen from the science lab at PS 143. I admit that I'm...
