espite their political differences, Rosie O'Donnell wouldn't mind grabbing drinks with Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. “I'd like to have a beer with her. I'd like to meet her kids. She seems like a pretty nice woman," O' Donnell told Extra. "Although I have to say, I am thrilled her party did not win. [But] you got to give it to her for spunk.” The ultra-liberal O' Donnell admitted, "I think I probably would like her if I met her....She had an amazing life for herself and her family in Alaska. Very successful. Before you knew it, she was the most...

BOYNTON BEACH — A woman who lived with her ex-partner on the city's south side stabbed her former lover more than 200 times with a Phillips-head screwdriver and then tried to conceal the killing, police said. After committing the crime, Carol Anne Burger, 57, a writer who friends described as engaged and eager to move on with life, reported her old flame missing and then, a day later, shot herself to death in her backyard, police said.

Rosie O’Donnell To Be Fired From “View” My CBS insiders just had "too many cocktails for a Tuesday night" with ABC insiders. Word on West 66th Street (ABC) is that Barbara Walters, who has life or death decision authority for “The View,” has had it with Uber-Dyke Rosie O’Donnell and has given ultimatum to the suits at ABC. There was a recent makeup room spat, but that is just latest in the Battle of the Broads. Other heavy battles between each woman's supporters have not been reported, but there have reportely been vicious behind-the-secenes cat fights. (Actually, other than being...

The following "sermon" was delivered on the Sunday after the 2004 Presidential election at the First Unitarian "Church" of Portland, Ore., by "Pastor" Marilyn Sewell. ********************************************************** This country has just been engaged in a huge exercise of power. Power has been used, and it has been misused. The upside to this election is that never have I seen so many people so passionately engaged in our political life. Never has our vote seemed so precious. Never have so many of us sent money to candidates and organizations supporting our views. I count all this as a great positive influence. And...

From the Maha - CLINTON: I think handling the aftermath of a natural disaster is different than preventing a terrorist attack. I actually believe that the federal government has been quite good about that, in spite of the breakdowns that led up to 9/11. There were any number of terrorist attacks prevented in the 1990s and there have been a lot of terrorist cells broken up -- CLINTON: Well, I would repeal the tax cuts for upper income people. I myself have gotten four tax cuts while young Americans have gone off to risk their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan,...

LeBoutillier says the book will reveal Hillary's struggle with New York's Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan to get his seat. Though a Democrat, Moynihan had little use for Hillary. LeBoutillier writes: "Seven years later - after her husband's impeachment - Hillary Clinton decided to run for Pat Moynihan's Senate seat from New York. First Lady Hillary Clinton came to ask for Senator and Mrs. Moynihan's blessing and endorsement, visiting the Senator in his Washington D.C. living room - this time at the Watergate hotel and apartment complex. "Pat Moynihan was recuperating from recent back surgery and hadn't been up to the...

We admit it, we're stuck on The L Word, Showtime's frothy drama about fantasy lesbians getting it on in swimming pools and showers all over Los Angeles. Granted, some of us have it worse than others. Some of us only go so far as to meet Sunday nights for viewing parties with friends. In the morning we rehash over e-mail and phone. But we leave it at that. There are others among us who go that infatuated extra mile, overwhelming dozens of websites with nitpicking analysis, swooning fantasies and cries for help. Starved to see images of themselves on TV,...
