    The previous Jack Reacher threads are quite informative and can be found by clicking on the jackreacher keyword. For those of you who are new to this discussion, 5'7" Tom Cruise used his influence to land the role to play author Lee Child's 6'5" anti-hero, Jack Reacher (Cruise is also a producer). Lee Child is OK with this. He says Cruise is a great actor and Reacher's size is a metaphor for an unstoppable force. Whatever.     Have any of my fellow Freepers read Lee Child's Reacher novels, and if so, did you feel like he had a political agenda? The first two I read seemed to have a definite bias against mid-America, but I thought maybe it was coincidental. The one I'm reading now -- "Echo Burning" -- goes out of its way to slam white people, Protestants, and Texans. If Child is a liberal bigot, I want ditch his novels. Anyone here have a feel for the guy?
