HOUSTON - A fundamentalist Mormon community in Mexico is linked to a triple-homicide that happened in Houston more than three decades ago. Two brothers and an 8-year-old girl were killed execution-style on June 27, 1988, and investigators would eventually learn the killings were “blood atonement” for their sin of leaving a polygamous, Mormon cult called “The Church of the Lamb of God.” The church, populated primarily of family members, was founded by Ervil LeBaron, a descendant of Mormons who split with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and immigrated to Mexico in the early 20th century to continue...

Nine members of a Mormon family were killed on the Mexican side of the US-Mexico border, and authorities are investigating whether the attack was the result of mistaken identity. The slain victims include three women, four small children and two infants, family member Alex LeBaron said from Mexico. He said all nine were dual US-Mexican citizens. The victims were "all shot while in vehicles while driving," LeBaron told CNN. Investigators believe three vehicles traveling between the Mexican states of Sonora and Chihuahua were ambushed by criminal groups Monday evening, Mexican authorities said.

TWO CHEERS FOR THE ADMINISTRATION ON MEGRAHI Powerline blog     We noted yesterday the controversy over the Obama administration's reaction to Scotland's proposed release of Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset Ali Mohment al-Megrahi on compassionate grounds, i.e., the claim that he was about to die. Foreign newspapers quoted a letter from a U.S. Embassy official in London, Richard LeBaron, which said that the U.S. would prefer that Megrahi not be released, but that if he were to be let go, the Obama administration thought it was "far preferable" to free Megrahi than have him transferred to a Libyan jail. On its...

HOUSTON » A polygamist sect leader's daughter, who was a fugitive for nearly 20 years, has pleaded not guilty for her role in a quadruple slaying in Texas. Jacqueline Tarsa LeBaron entered her plea during an arraignment hearing Wednesday... The 44-year-old LeBaron was extradited from Honduras last week after being a fugitive since her 1992 indictment. She is accused in the shooting deaths of three former sect members and the 8-year-old daughter of one of the adults in Houston and suburban Dallas in 1988. LeBaron is the daughter of Utah polygamist Ervil LeBaron, who died in prison while serving time...

Mr. Jerrol LeBaron of InkTip, the most successful spec script sales business in Hollywood, has now launched his Honor In Office campaign and website in an attempt to reform the way California legislators do business. The first goal of Mr. LeBaron’s Honor In Office campaign is to place the Honor In Office Act on the California ballot. If passed, the Honor In Office Act would compel California state reps to legally affirm that they have read a bill in full before voting to pass it, just as every attorney in America closing any kind of legal contract is paid to...

I’m sure Mr. LeBaron would much rather be running his most successful Hollywood spec script sales business than jumping into the shark-infested waters of Sacramento politics. Yet that is exactly what Mr. LeBaron has done by launching his Honor In Office website and campaign, to reform the way California legislators do the People’s business and regardless of political affiliation. It is the corruption of the legislative process which Mr. LeBaron sees as the real problem, not only in Sacramento but across the US.

We, as parents, are well aware of the importance of our teachers who teach and program our children. We also know how important it is for our children to play with good-thinking children growing up. Sen. Barack Obama has grown up with the teaching of very angry, militant white and black people: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Rev. Michael Pfleger. We cannot say we are not affected by teachers who are militant and angry. We know too well that we become like them, and Mr. Obama will run this country in their mindset. The Democratic Party,...
