Lafarge SA is pleading guilty and has agreed to pay a fine of $777.8 million to resolve a criminal charge related to the French company’s payments to the terror organization ISIS to keep a plant operating in Syria.

French cement giant Lafarge was charged Thursday with complicity in crimes against humanity and financing terrorists for paying millions to jihadists, including the Islamic State group, to keep a factory open in war-torn Syria. Hillary Clinton sat on the board of a Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) partner that is under investigation amid accusations that it supplied funds to the Islamic State during negotiations with the terrorist group. A French company accused of sending payments to ISIS confirms to Breitbart News that Clinton served as a board member of the company, and that the company partnered with the Clinton Global Initiative as recently as 2014. Financial records show that the company donated between $50,001 and $100,000 to the Clinton Foundation, according to the Donald Trump campaign.

Documents obtained by several journalistic investigations reveal that Lafarge has paid taxes to the terror group to operate its cement plant in Syria, and even bought Isis oil for years. Lafarge also has close ties to Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Apart from being a regular donor to the Clinton Foundation, Clinton herself was a director of Lafarge in the early 1990s, and did legal work for the firm in the 1980s. During her connection to Lafarge, the firm was implicated in facilitating a CIA-backed covert arms export network to Saddam Hussein.

The red-hot real estate market shows no sign of cooling, but there could be a cloud on the horizon. The shortage of a humble but irreplaceable material could slow the growth of new housing. In parts of the Pacific Northwest, for instance, there's not nearly enough cement, 15% less than last year even as demand has climbed by 30%. "It's definitely affected our bottom line," says Dave Bertsch, president of Champion Concrete Pumping. "If it continues, we're going to have some layoffs. We are going to have to liquidate some equipment. It's a domino effect."
