The Obama Whitehouse created and armed ISIS.

But sure, let’s go after a French concrete firm.

If they didn’t keep the cement plant open then they would be accused of racism or some such for denying Syrians access to vital building materials.

The French socialists are tougher on a cement company that was forced to pay protection than they are on the ISIS thugs running the racquet. People get killed? They’d blame capitalism before Islam.

It’s hard to argue that LaFarge was actually in the wrong here. If they had pulled out could you imagine the outcry from the left from people who would say they were denying White Helmets and refugees building materials to put their lives back together?

LaFarge was likely acting on instructions from the French government trying as hard as it could to maintain French presence in Syria.

I take it as French meddling in current affairs beyond it’s reach
